So I'm guessing that metal piece is relocated on the Esky?
This is the first I have heard of anyone having this issue with swapping the Esky cluster into a non-Esky.
I am certain you will figure it out, you have certainly overcome much more difficult situations with your rigs.
Rear speakers can be turned off by pressing a button on the console's rear control panel. I think it is the power button but I never ride back there.
The A/C can also be turned on and off as well. Have you tried the rear a/c button on the front HVAC control panel?

That's weird, I never realized that before.
The bottom side, towards the spring, looks like it would still work the same once the spring seat was installed.
The top side just has that raised portion in the center for the non-Autoride struts...
whereas the AutoRide strut mount is flat on top...
I have never compared an Auto/Magna ride strut to a standard strut so i don't know what the difference may be, however, I installed a set of Rancho 9 way adjustable struts into my original Autoride strut upper mounts and reused the original springs and it all went together fine.
Your post is kind of confusing.
You mentioned changing over to "coil overs" but later mention Bilstein 5100/4600s.
Are you talking about changing over to actual, aftermarket, coil overs like this...
Or are you just talking about installing factory style struts without the Autoride...
Curious how much that interferes with those center A/C, Heater vents???
That was always my concern with head units that are in front of the vents like that. Seems like the moisture from the A/C and the extra heat from the heater would cause issues with the screen. Maybe I am just paranoid.
