You're looking at two gens ago... And no, they don't fit the same.
Doug should be commended for trying to help, but the backspacing between the last two gens and this gen is different.
You already ordered the wheels but don't want to tell Dag the specs? That's curious... Just want to make sure that they fit first?
I hope you post pics here. Looking forward to seeing them!
Please keep us posted!
Maybe don't direct the techs to a certain area of your truck where you think you hear the noise. I directed the tech to look somewhere around the rear axle, but I don't really know that the noise it coming from there. It might actually be coming from somewhere up front...
Here in the USA, we still sell ice scrapers. We also sell snow shovels for all of the people who don't have radiant heat in their driveways and sidewalks.
How far should these heaters go? How much ice and snow should these heaters be able to keep from forming on your truck?
You're welcome to...
I'd do a Google search for "chrome trim options" on your year truck, and see if you find an article written specifically about the different trim options, or a Car and Driver article about the truck that mentions the trims in it. That's what I had to do to see what my trim is called on my '23...
Do you think everyone in the country needs this on their truck? They don't. At best, a windshield heater should be an option. And if it's an option, you're going to have to pay for it. So now your $100K truck is going to cost more (unless you don't already have a lot of costly options on your...
I specifically suggested to the dealership that I thought that's what it could be -- and they said they checked it and didn't find anything. I can't say whether they actually checked it, though.
I really thought/think that maybe my spare is just loose enough to bang against its housing in different driving scenarios. (But that's with having no real sense for the actual arrangement of the spare tire compartment.)
Hmmm... I'd swear that my noise/bump sounds/feels more toward the rear of the truck. I don't think mine is coming from the front. But I've saved the bulletin. Thanks!
I asked my dealership to look into something maybe being loose under my truck for the exact same reason (and they, too, said they couldn't replicate the condition).
For me, I think it's rear-suspension "rebound" related, but I'm not positive. I've noticed it most when making a turn through an...
Incidentally, if GM didn't even make an electric full-size SUV prior to '24, then I hope this site strongly considers renaming the current '24 EV section something different than the way it reads now -- like "'24+ Electric Vehicles (Yukon/Tahoe/Escalade models)." Right now, with Cadillac making...
I'm guessing that's exactly what's causing the noise. My weatherstripping on my driver's side rear door "flaps" a bit (compared to any other doors'), and I've been meaning to just stuff something behind it so that it doesn't flap.
I don't think the cost of the vehicle has anything to do with it (at least I don't think anyone could come up with a price cut-off where they'd accept misinstalled parts). A sloppy install is a sloppy install.
