I’m my case on my very high mileage’07 LT my pigtail was replaced some time before I got it and the splices to it also wound up eventually failing. Took a while for me to figure it out. I respliced it with solder connectors and it fixed it.
Thus, it never hurts to at least pull the sheathing...
Damn that's a lot. Honestly I hate applying any pressure to the plastic tank on top of the master. I am afraid of it popping out of the mounts or the tank splitting along the plastic weld in the middle. I was running between 5-10 psi doing mine. But that's just me skitzing. It's probably fine...
Yup carry extra coolant and I also have a barbed fitting spliced into one of the heater hoses with double clamps so I can bypass that whole she-bang in an emergency failure if it comes to it.
Did a 6 qt trans fluid transfusion through the dipstick tube. Flushed the brake system with my recently acquired Motive power bleeder. Changed the engine air filter.
