Probably not your throttle body causing the reduced engine power. The problem is likely the wiring harness at your throttle body. Usually a wire breaks within 10" of the plug. The insulation doesnt break so you cant easily tell. Auto parts stores and rockauto have replacements with a long pigtail and its an easy fix.

I’m my case on my very high mileage’07 LT my pigtail was replaced some time before I got it and the splices to it also wound up eventually failing. Took a while for me to figure it out. I respliced it with solder connectors and it fixed it.

Thus, it never hurts to at least pull the sheathing back off the TB harness just to have a look see.

Ive also seen where the Throttle Position Sensor gets a worn spot in its travel and you get phantom Reduced Engine Power at certain throttle positions. Typically around 55mph speed position. As far as the pigtail you will have to run your fingers across all the wires and you usually can feel the wire break if there is one because the wire is stranded and starts to curl underneath the insulation.

Thanks, that makes sense. so I have had the wiring harness to the throttle body replaced as of this date and time will tell. Before I would start up and get the fault shut down and touch the plug then it would be fine so I will post if that does not resolve my issue

ok so new connector plug did not resolve the issue, beginning to wonder if I should have used the GM part instead of Hitachi brand
