You can dismantle the removed shaft to get just that part to install. Don’t hack job cut it like mentioned earlier. There is a video how to take them apart. I will try to find it for you.
This is another one of those urban ghost stories and myths. With plenty of passionate responses from both sides.
I personally would rather have the shaft stubs bolted into the hubs just for peace of mind.
I had a place in Clearfield. Been to Coudersport on an old friends family reunion I was invited to. Did alot of stormtrooping all over from Clearfield county up through Elk and Tioga counties. Greatest times of my life. Miss it up there.
Is there a way to adjust the spray nozzles? My pass side sprays at the middle and left of the blade. Right side where it is needed most didn’t get any until it’s slung over. I do have a small squirt shooting past the right side and onto a niehboring vehicle.
