There is also a plastic nipple that slides onto one of the tee's that likes to get brittle and break off too.

I took a 22MM wrench and made a stubby out of it to get in there through the top with the fender liner removed. Yeah the fingers take an ass kicking from the impact on the front of the bolt but it works.
I’d be more worried about replacing both tees don’t skip out on the other one. I haven’t once read anywhere on this forum about anyone breaking the tube seals on the heater core replacing these things.
So I pulled mine out Saturday afternoon. Took me about 1 1/2 hours including the driveshaft. (I already had the half shafts removed.) All those inner nuts and bolts come right out, leaving the mounts behind. No need to access the top. Have to drop the crossmember from under the engine too, only...
HAHA that's nothing mine looks like Le Brea tar pits under there but when you look though the inspection cover in the bell housing it's bone dry inside. I'm getting ready to replace the oil pan (drain plug is stripped), gasket, pickup tube o-ring and install oil diverter on the relief valve soon.
