I can promise you; you will not get the same coverage at the same price at the end of your factory warranty as you can buy when the vehicle is new.     Not defending extended warranties, but one positive with them is if your vehicle is laid up for three months, say for parts, or whatever reason, a warranty usually will cover a rental car. If you’re on your own….well….you’re on your own, and it could easily add up to two or $3000 pretty easily...

    While this is true, from someone who played that game... 98% of these are presold and they just show up as inventory to get you to call. There are a FEW out there that are not spoken for, but they are rare as hens' teeth. There is also NO discounts on any Diesel and usually a markup....

    We did Indianapolis IN to Valdosta GA on one tank about a year ago, got scared and stopped 30 miles before Valdosta for fuel because the range indicator went from 0 miles to LO. Well over 700 miles including Atlanta traffic. Not doing that again tho..!

    Mine is going in next Monday for TSB fix for missing or not secure Heat Shield retainer nuts. the # is PIT5926. I have a rpm related rattle/hum while sitting at lights with foot on brake. I bet it is a heat shield and I hope this TSB fixes it.

    I took this TSB to my local GMC dealer this morning and they ordered a complete set of these retainer nuts and said he will give it a try. That’s better than I expected. We’ll see if that’s the answer. Thanks for giving me this tip.

    Same here, I have a rattle below the wireless charger area that only rattles at Idle when we stop at a light etc. Could be under the vehicle but the dealership "Said" they couldn't find it. Irritating, but learned to live with it. Of course in park when I try to find it.. it won't rattle !
