    Benefits of the diesel?

I've owned vehicles that would throw a CEL if you put regular in them and they recommended premium. Sure, you CAN do it. But there may be surprises down the road...

    Benefits of the diesel?

Diesel is not cheaper than premium by a long shot. Diesel is .50 lower than PUL in FL. Most people have 6.2’s and they need premium to be At their best. Plus 40% better mileage…

Bridgestone tires. good or bad? My experience.

They suck plain and simple. They are like taking your life in your own hands in a rain storm. I’ve muddled through them for the last three years to try to get some good out of them, but within a month or so they are going bye-bye…. summer rains are coming and I am not going to have these things...

    Benefits of the diesel?

You really think that DEF is THAT big a deal? I may be have dumped three or four jugs in, in three years. Granted, I don’t tow with it, but it really is a non-issue. Also, I have backed way off on changing the fuel filter more often. I changed my first one at 10 K and then another one at about...

Main Bearing Failure with 6.2L at 3,200 miles

Believe me, I understand how it works. I was a high-volume AS-9100 parts supplier to GE Aircraft engines for years, working in the toughest of materials. If we made bad parts and they got on multiples of engines, we could have potentially been liable for at least a share of recall and tear down...

    0-20w oil

As an opinion, I believe they are the exact same oil, bottled on the same line, and the only difference is the green dye they put in the Mobil to differentiate. Why would they want to mess with the formulation? Both work and both conform, and both come from the same big tank at the Mobil factory....

    This truck is incredible

More importantly, this is why you buy BIG stuff to drive! Any compact or mini-SUV, sedan or whatever would have been decimated. Putting as much Iron as possible between you and another party is more important than ever with the way some drivers drive today.....

    Benefits of the diesel?

Baloney.... I've short tripped mine for 3 years now. Occasional 30- 50 mile runs may be twice a month. Other wise most days less than 10 miles. No issues... Worst City MPG... 20 MPG....

Main Bearing Failure with 6.2L at 3,200 miles

So do Jet engine manufacturers, but only after they meet an exceedingly rigid set of quality requirements. The one diff? 99% of American jet engine parts are mfg. in the USA and have a high amount of engine mfg. scrutiny, critical requirements backed up with proof of compliance, and oversight. I...

    0-20w oil

Emissions controls components are only FULLY warranted for 2 years 24k miles. Then only certain components are warrantied for the 8/80 or 10/100 duration, FYI.

Pirelli AS plus 3 vs Michelin Defenders LTX M/S

If you don't rap on tons of miles, this could be a good choice. But we don't have the huge price difference here. If the defenders have an updated look, I'll give them a 2nd look. And yes, I do care about sidewall appearance. I don't want my vehicle looking like a 1 ton dually.

Pirelli AS plus 3 vs Michelin Defenders LTX M/S

I'm within a few months of getting rid of these terrible Alenza's and still on the fence about Defenders or AS plus 3's. But either one would be a big improvement!

    Buyer Beware - Don't Buy a Yukon

Most every one of these are such small potatoes for the 50% better fuel mileage you get over the 6.2 with premium. Emissions is always a crap shoot. My last 2 were mostly good past 100K and what did happen was covered under warranty. Wet belt will go at least 200K, much longer than anyone will...

    Buyer Beware - Don't Buy a Yukon

If you look at this and other forums, you will see that there are FAR fewer issues with the dmax, period. It's had a few teething issues, but at almost 30K mine drivetrain wise has been flawless, and I don't lose any sleep over lifter or main bearing issues at all.

better tires for my new 2023 Yukon Denali

Same here, I don’t care how bad they are. I’m getting at least 25 to 30,000 miles out of them then I’ll switch to the ones I really want and that will be this year. And they are bad!

2021 Yukon 6.2L not driven much - how often does it need to be driven for good health?

Dump some seafoam in it, keep it on a tender, and don’t worry about it. i’d be more worried about the fuel going bad with non-use than anything. I have vehicles that sit six months at a time seasonally. Hasn’t hurt them a bit and have done it for years….

    Buyer Beware - Don't Buy a Yukon

Who wants to go thru all that crap and paperwork to “rent” a vehicle not knowing who will pay for it or how long it will be. They should just toss you the keys to another newer vehicle on the lot and let you get on with your life. But as expensive as a vehicle it is…GMC dealers don’t guarantee...

how to protect your rig from salt damage??

I Ziebarted my 2004 RAM when new, never did another thing to it in 20 years and not one spec of rust when it sold last summer for a premium. Spray in bedliner helps a lot too.

Main Bearing Failure with 6.2L at 3,200 miles

What's crazy about this is, while the vast majority don't/won't/haven't had a problem yet, there is enough failures floating around to make you stop and think every day.... Am I driving one of these ticking bombs or not? And most people's outcomes won't be a 5-10 day fix.....

Help needed getting sirius xm to play

In theory, you’re a dealer should call and get this hooked up to you for your trial. You also may have to call yourself and give them your radio ID number annd personal information and they will get you going for three months. Many times they need your information because they are going to be...

21 Yukon bad wheel bearing with only 30000 miles

Every place I’ve ever been uses a torque limiting extension on the air driver. It won’t torque over 140 foot pounds. I have one in the toolbox of my truck…. quick and easy to rap the nuts on and not worry if they are over torqued.

    Battery Replacement a Professional Job?!

At least you don't have a Jaguar like I do... When you put a new battery in it, the whole BCM/ECM has to be re coded to recognize the new battery or else it will still try to charge your new one like the old rundown one and ruin your new one in short order...500.00 at dealer...
