I can't justify to myself swappign out my brand new stock tires till I at least get some mileage out of them. But once I do I'll be looking at Michelins

Same here, I don’t care how bad they are. I’m getting at least 25 to 30,000 miles out of them then I’ll switch to the ones I really want and that will be this year. And they are bad!

Not sure how it works but the dealer said they can get a rebate from GM on the new take off tires and the cost difference for the new tires was included in the purchase price of the truck.

I have a '21 Silverado RST trim with factory 22" x 9" wheels. Black ones! I wanted 305/45R22 tires but was a little concerned about the rim width. 9.5" seemed to be the consensus for the minimum rim width. But at the DTD site for Michelin Defender LTX M/S2, they show 9.0" - 11.5" as the rim width range. I even called the local DTD store the the guy there verified.

It may be different brands of tires may have different specs. Here is the link to the page that has the specs. I have some of these on order now!

Did you look at the new version of them before deciding on those?
