I installed only the GM updated/upgraded 12570427 valve cover (per GM TSB# 10-06-01-008M...
By now your piston rings are stuck. Do a piston/combustion chamber soak. Worked for me 5 yrs & 65k miles ago. Still going strong and no consumption.
Here's a thread I did back then:

feeler gauge is cheapest tool to check thrust clearance.
I wouldn't use that crankshaft with scratches in it that bad. It you have it turned .010" and it cleans up? then great.
Three of the 4 corners on our engine have a broken exhaust manifold bolt. I installed:
Exhaust Manifold bridge clamp, back driver side – APDTY brand # 028218 - amazon
and
Exhaust manifold bridge clamps, frt driver side & back pass – APDTY brand # 028253 - amazon
I removed all the spark plugs and oil pan drain plug, squirtted in a few ounces of the solvet in each SP hole. Then every 12 hrs or so put a socket on the crankshaft bolt a moved the crank back a forth a little, then replenish ea cylinder with solvent again.
After 48 hrs or so I put towels over...
07 Yukon Denali w/stock 6.2L L92 w/195k corrosion free miles. No DIC or CEL. It runs great.

It's my understanding the fuel level sending unit is part of the fuel pump module. Correct me...

I have 6...

I have run Amsoil many times in my vehicles since 2009. That's when I became a preferred Amsoil customer. It's good stuff. Here's a thread I did when I ran it in my Denali not long ago...
