May I ask, why not both?
Both the pcv valve and the valve cover??? I guess one could, but that seems redundant.

I installed only the GM updated/upgraded 12570427 valve cover (per GM TSB# 10-06-01-008M: https://f01.justanswer.com/ebrock63...il+Consumption,+MIL+ON,+Engine+Runs+Rough.pdf after the piston/combustion chamber soak. My catch can has since only collected 2 ounces per 5,000 miles, and my engine (196,000 miles now) doesn't consume any oil.

The pcv IS "the valve cover", on this generation, mine is a 2007 6.2L L92 wo/AFM hardware from the factory. The pvc is not the little metal thing like my 02 surburban 5.3 had or my 02 Corvette 5.7 has.
