Trailer battery charge AWG wire size>

hard to tell looking at the wires, without taking stuff apart, but perhaps the metric equivalent of #12 or #14? The fuse for Trailer Battery is #84 under the hood, it's a 30 amp fuse....

Cracked headlight NOT covered under warranty

The good old H6024 (fits my 62 Chevy II) cost $8.88 at Walmart for years. I just checked, they're suddenly up to $12.88. Quite a jump. But still peanuts compared to my new Tahoe headlights, apparently. Oh well. At least we don't have state inspections here in Arizona, so I could run it for years...

    Battery dies overnight

I would not be surprised if it needs a new battery.

    Visable gear transmission is in

like this? (although I think these images are the Ford version, since the front of the case is not shaped like a Chevy V8)

Is a Four to Eight Week Production Window Realistic?

I ordered a really basic Tahoe in early May, this year, and took delivery at the end of June. So yeah, it's realistic if they have the parts and get to work on it.

    Rear Gear Ratio Question

With the gear ratio spread of the 10 speed transmission, it really doesn't matter what the rear gear ratio is...there's another shift available, all the time. The transmission acts kind of like a CVT in normal driving, the RPM really only depends on how far you push the gas pedal. (but to...

2021 RWD Denali Differential Service recommendations...

Per the Owner's Manual...."See your dealer". I'd look in the service manual, but it doesn't seem to exist.

2021 RWD Denali Differential Service recommendations...

It's listed in the owners manual for my 1959 pickup....change it at first 1000 miles, then every 10,000 miles. As late as the late 1980s, they recommended frequent oil changes in the axles of 4x4s when used in severe service such as dusty or towing. Seems that they relaxed the requirements...

    Max Tow Orders

I looked at Tahoe inventory quite a bit the past several months, relating to Max Tow...seems it is quite rare. But I ordered an LS with no options other than Max Tow, at the beginning of May 2022, and it arrived at the dealership at the end of June, with Max Tow installed, and I've been...

    Oil usage question...

Depends what I'm driving, but I've had a few old ones lately that needed oil more often than they needed gas. But the late models...no, I never check them when getting gas. I might before a long trip. They generally have had to have over 200k miles before they start using oil.

    Hood

Moving the hood back on one side only, will also move the front of the hood sideways. The hood is a rectangle, it can't magically turn into a diamond, unfortunately. you might find that you can bend the corner of the fender a bit, up, down, in, out, etc, using your fingers. Do this very...

    Hood

Hmmm....I don't think adjusting will do much, it looks like the curves don't quite match.

    Service Trailer Brakes

When you first connect the trailer and start the engine, it notifies you that it detected trailer brakes connected. I haven't had any issues with the brakes on either of my trailers towing with the 2022 Tahoe, but I did rewire them both several years ago.

    What? An EV Tahoe?

Since most people who buy a Tahoe just use it to haul the kids to soccer practice, or to drive to work, they'll probably sell a bunch of them, and customers will be happy with them. We could use an EV for most of our driving, but not for hauling a car trailer or travel trailer across several...

'21 HC Tahoe leaking oil (28k)

After owning a couple one owner used vehicles with service records showing they'd only been serviced at the GM dealer, and having stretched oil drain plugs, stripped air filter housing screw holes, etc. I'm kind of leery of taking my new Tahoe in for even the free first service there. At least I...

What did you do to your 21+ T1XX today?

Hooked up the old Airstream, ready for the Tahoe's first camping trip. Not a long one, only 100 miles away.

    I wonder what the 6.2 has...my 2022 5.3 Tahoe has 2-3/4" pipe

    Service Trailer Brakes

If the connector doesn't fix it, have a close look at the rest of the trailer brake wiring. It needs to be "right"...no undersize wires, no flaky connections, good grounds, etc.

    Midlothian to Possession

I guess I got lucky last June, dealer told me it was on the way, then a few days later told me it was there. I expect different dealerships have different levels of knowledge and concern about getting this information.

Still can't get Adaptive Cruise on Z71 in 2023 but you can on a work truck..

A good friend has a 15 Yukon with ACC, he hates it too....we went on a trip in my new 22 Tahoe with normal cruise, he really liked that.

Those with 2023 orders and updates.

I don't have any need for more "stuff" than the LS comes with, so living with the 5.3 vs spending an extra $15k to get the 6.2....no brainer, the small engine is fine. Besides if I want to go fast, I can hop in my old Chevys, they scoot pretty good (they have old big blocks in them)

Does the 2023 5.3L come with auto start/stop?

i put a little post it note above the shifter buttons, that says "AUTO", as a reminder to myself to turn off auto stop every time I start the engine, before I put it in gear.

Those with 2023 orders and updates.

there's no built in NAV with the small screen. Android Auto works, although it took me a little while to get my phone set up to where I could tell it where I want to go.....I generally don't do voice recognition stuff. And you can't use the touchscreen for much.

Anyone else struggle with the A-pillar blind spot?

there weren't any tahoes/suburbans on the lot to test drive when I ordered, kind of hard to know about that stuff when things were as they were at the time. Sympathy, no solutions unfortunately.
