So I just noticed this, my 22 yukon the hood is not flush to the body on the right side (looking at it from the front) what causes that...so that I know what to say when I take it back to the dealer, looks like it's factory defect..vehicle is new..about 4600 miles....

Not familiar with that body style, but typically these can be adjusted to line up.

Hmmm....I don't think adjusting will do much, it looks like the curves don't quite match.

For the record, this will be referred to as the "left side" (driver side). They go by vehicle left/right, not what you see when facing it.

That looks like they just didn't spend enough time aligning the hood and/or fender. If you were to view the hood from overhead, it's like it needs to be rotated counterclockwise. They might be able to just loosen the hinge bolts and slide that one side back. Could be slightly misformed hood or fender point and it just needs tweaking. Likely an easy fix.

Moving the hood back on one side only, will also move the front of the hood sideways. The hood is a rectangle, it can't magically turn into a diamond, unfortunately.

you might find that you can bend the corner of the fender a bit, up, down, in, out, etc, using your fingers. Do this very patiently, see if you can get it to line up a bit better. Don't expect miracles.
