Still can't get Adaptive Cruise on Z71 in 2023 but you can on a work truck..

Since I sold my 2021 Z71 I have been looking at something else to get. I was looking at regular cab, regular bed work trucks since I like the short length trucks. I was building it and adaptive cruise is an option $750. I don't know what constraints currently if you can really get it but it is crazy in a $40k pickup you can get adaptive cruise but not in a $70k Z71.

It's a marketing decision to get you to spend more money on a more lucrative trim level.

I've also seen a few Z71 owner reviews on youtube and they all complain about missing out on this on a $70k+ suv.

Maybe wait until 2024 model year refresh in 8-10 months. That's what I'm trying to talk myself into at least.

Sucks though, adaptive cruise is a standard feature on a toyota corolla.

While I know that GM does a lot of things to maximize profit, I don't believe they are withholding ACC simply to get you to spend more money. In fact, you can get ACC on the RST trim and that is less money than the Z71 when you select the 6.2L engine.

As an earlier posts suggests, I believe the front-end design of the Z71/AT4 prevents this technology from being offered. Hopefully that will change when the 2024 refresh comes out.

I travel for work and you can get that in a corolla... ya GM is just holding out for other trims.

You're better off without it. I bought the wife a used 2016 Yukon, that has ACC on it. I hate the feature, but my dealer told me it can't be removed once installed.

A good friend has a 15 Yukon with ACC, he hates it too....we went on a trip in my new 22 Tahoe with normal cruise, he really liked that.

I have had many rentals with ACC and I like ACC and like GMs version of it.

I really like ACC more than any other feature besides the lane warning. I am picking up a 2022 Z71 this week and will miss it but obviously wasn't a deal breaker. I only travel long distance a few times a year. My wife drives a 2020 Benc GLC and it also does not have it. I bought that one CPO and wasn't really paying attention to those features because I never had it and you don't miss what you never had. My current car ( Mercedes E53) has it and I really like it It works fantastic
