I don't know what size you are looking for....like console cooler or larger. I use a
Dometic CFX3 45.
It works great and plugs into the 12V plug in the back of my Sub. They have various sizes.
They have them on amazon or other places.
I've decided to put the 6.0 Tahoe to the test on towing......Trailer + car inside + spares + tools is about 6K lbs.
Towed it no problema....I was worried most about the tongue weight. As you can see it is squatted a bit but not much.
I have Z71 springs in the rear. But it handled great!
If this...
Looking forward to the results. I swapped to a 6.0 last summer and love it. I wrestled with the LS364/450 vs 6.0 with cathedrals. I had done the 6.0/LS3 heads before in a camaro and the LS3 heads are low on TQ below 3000. But above 3000 they light up especially with a big cam. I did an LQ9 with...
Just a general observation. With most dealers having low amounts new inventory on trucks Tahoes subs, and eskys, I've seen markups of $10K-$30K over MSRP....$30K for Escalades.
Used Tahoes are way up in price too.
I started my resto of a 2003 Tahoe earlier in the Year and just got it out of...
I'm looking to do the efan upgrade. I haven't yet as I've seen the torment from others.
I've read and seen on YouTube where people get so frustrated with failure they just go back to the mechanical fan.
Does anyone have a good parts list for the efan upgrade?
I don't mind buying new parts.
What...
A built 6.0 will tow it easy. I have an LQ9 with shaved 317 heads and a torque focused cam. I get 350lbs of TQ at 1500rpms and 490lbs at 4900rpms (crank)
And I still get 19mpg on highway at 80mph.....not towing. towing is around 12-13.
A stock 5.3 in 2003 put out 315lbs of TQ Max around...
Cool .....Squatted! I kinda like that.
I had my Tahoe squatted for like 1 day....when I was installing and testing the lift.
It got a lot of looks and I swear it handled the best its ever handled.....LOL
OMG
That's intense!
Nice lid for that high ram.
Very nice heads.
Lots of Gen3 HHR installs over on LS1Tech.
And they make all the adapters for sensors and vacuum stuff.....just have to hunt it down.
I'm more interested in the injectors to power that system. 42lb ers minimum I'd say.
and fuel...
I got this one.....Rough Country.
Makes a total difference in handling I think. Holds track much better.

Finally, after waiting 3 weeks for the right fuel injectors, I got the right ones.
Got them installed and engine fired right up.
Everything is taking longer. I ordered headers two months ago and they just showed up a few days back
Engine runs great! No leaks and good oil pressure. Very tight...
It kinda depends on the heads used but generally for max torque and near stock idle and stock converter I've used this cam before.
Basically power from idle to 5500. No spring upgrade required but LS6 springs work good.

I think the heads they use are the stock 317 heads. It says in their description on the website.
You can reuse everything....bolts right up.
Tony is right. You would just need a 6.0 tune. Those blackbear guys can hook you up, unless you have HPTuners.
It'll run without a new tune. It'll just run...
Depends what you budget is.
For increased pep I would recommend the AutoZone 6.0L, pretty inexpensive and comes with a warranty.
With that and 3.42 gears it'll move out and still get 17-19mpg.
For mufflers it depends how loud.
Check out these guys on youtube. I think they've recorded just about...
What vehicle is that? Nice vertical TQ curve....kinda odd readings though...50hp/50TQ at 57mph?
He (and me too) just wants to see a pics of the vehicle
Like I could say this is the dyno of my 427 Tahoe ....all motor
But its not in my Tahoe.
Its not HPT.
Could be the tune, but I doubt it.
Most likely something faulty in the system.
Do you have the efan thing?
And you said it works everytime you hit the compressor button?
Then something is failing in auto mode.
Mine was doing that sometimes too before I pulled the engine.
I'm...
