forgot one of the more recent ones
passenger right side - when going 60 or faster there would randomly be a noise that sounded like the old school radio antennas rattling when they were loose...soft knocking noise.
online searching revealed that it was probably originating from a heat shield...
the 2021 AT4 we sold last week had developed a reverb "in the speakers" when talking on the phone and using bluetooth through the vehicle. it was so bad it was unusable. Had a dealer diagnose it back in November and the first time they looked they admitted later that they didn't do anything to...
had a dealer in the Dallas area call yesterday inquiring if I was still in the market for a Tahoe (one of numerous I had contacted about in transit units).
This dealer back in Feb was $6k over
Asked how they were pricing them now - he said 10% over and an additional +$3k add-on package...so...
the truck forum i follow has quite a few trucks being damaged in transit...its about 50/50 of the dealer letting the buyer know upfront. the most recent one was a truck showing as delivered for over a week so the buyer went and checked at one of the dealer's sister store...found his truck with...
guess my post was taken the wrong way
Not that I agree with the practice of buying vehicles prior to them arriving, but I agree that buyers will have to buy the vehicle prior to it arriving if that is what the dealer is requiring - especially if the buyer wasn't told up front about their...
unfortunately any dealer that is requiring buyers to pay for vehicles that haven't made it to the dealer's lot would more than likely sell that vehicle to someone else if the original buyer put up too much of a fuss
odd times were are in for sure
I asked that question to two different dealers...neither knew for sure
one said they'd have to reach back out to all their current orders and see if they want to move it to a 23 before officially moving the order over
the other said they'd automatically roll over the 22 orders - didn't say if...
If it was actually accepted - there should have at least been a TPW established as long as it wasnt accepted in the past few days/week or so...if you were told it was accepted months ago, a call to your dealer to would be a good idea...they should be able to tell you at least which stage it's at...
Haven't received a bayed status so going to guess no - and I'm only about 5 hrs away from Dallas so it shouldnt be going by rail (unless that tracking site is more than rail)
I called Chevrolet customer support and that is what I was told...which makes sense b/c i know it's been built (window stickers only populate when they are "complete") and the dealer told me it was at 4300. Dealer also never gave me an ETA though...was given an ETA of 4/14 by Linton on...
What did he say about their allocations and/or what was the expected timeline to be?
Not trying to repeat some of the other posts...but all of the other info isn't relevant if you're never likely to get to the actual build/delivery stage. If your order has already been accepted by GM meaning...
lot of dealers have stopped taking orders altogether...they aren't able to fulfill their 2022 orders which will have to be converted to 2023 orders here in a few weeks
The Koon's around the country won't have inventory simply because they are discounting every vehicle they sell thousands more than anyone probably within a 300-400 radius...off the cuff there are at least 8-10 of these types of FCA dealerships across the country
FCA may be able to move some the...
The screenshot below from a couple months ago paints a little clearer picture - mainly because it also shows the allocation of the constraints...does leave out the aspect of the dealer being allocated a Yukon and they being able to submit the order as an SLE
I wouldn't think GM would be...
Here's an example from the HD Ram forum....let's just say it gets a little overwhelming...as it ends up being the "coffee shop" of the forum

There are a...
Basics of it would be:
- Dealer has to have an allocation for your vehicle (ie tahoe)
- If the dealer gets an allocation for a Tahoe...then you have to hope you are next in line so the dealer can use the allocation on your order (I know this sounds basic - but if you're 47th in line for a...
Caveat is it can be accepted if the dealership receives an allocation for that constraint
Saw somewhere else (on here?) that the Z71 trim has been removed from the constraint list - which doesn't help matters if your ordering dealer doesn't receive an allocation for a Tahoe... and even if they...
Also seems like GM and Ford were content with building the trucks 99% complete and then letting the trucks sit for months awaiting chips...had read where Ford was contemplating shipping these almost completed trucks to the dealers for storage vs the fields/lots around the factories we've all...
I view it more of their ordering processes are quite different.
Ordered a Ram HD in December...the dealer I ordered through sent out all the current Ram "constraints" to me after my initial email. Any order that had any of those items included wouldn't even be contemplated...reason being is...
....or they quote it at $12k and then discount it down to $4-5k (on a warranty that may be $1500 elsewhere) and the unsuspecting buyer probably feels good about it
