so on the high country...$1k is considered to be a standalone price increase and the other $300 is for the "remote access plan" which i guess isn't full blown onstar and wifi like on the GMCs
and yep - looks like the base price of a 4wd high country went from 76,100 to 77,400...so there's your $1300 price increase.
I think the only thing I'd change in your original post is that it won't be the 2024s that cost $90k with your current build, it'll be the the 2023s in 6-9 months
just checked the online builder against our 2023 Z71 built in August in bought the first week of September..
base price went from $63,500 to $64,300...so an $800 bump in a couple months...guess the first price increase of the 23MY
costs on the luxury package, buckets and freight charges stayed...
the rear lift gate issue is real.
our 2022 did it and our 2023 is the same way...when the liftgate hasn't been opened all day and the first time it's "opened" using the button on the outside - it'll only unlatch the lift gate. a second press of the button and it opens fully. any other time...
will be interesting to see how the sales of the lower end GMC products sell. local dealer has about 10 terrains sitting on their lot, low to mid $30k MSRPs and everyone of them has the $1500 onstar add on. They've been sitting there for a couple weeks already and it doesn't look like any have...
guess i should have finished my thought....how will they handle vehicles that are no longer owned by the person that bought it new....maybe changed hands multiple times. I expect it to be similar to a recall, but probably not as straight forward if the original owner is getting the...
sold cars for 6 months 20yrs ago...the best salesmen didn't know jack about what they were selling...allowed them to not mislead the customer...always easier to just say, "I don't know but I can find out for you..."
1) definitely not alone
2) GM made the business decision to proceed with production in the spring when they were missing chips/parts to complete the vehicles to a point where they couldn't be sold once they rolled off the assembly line (missing chips they weren't already planning to retrofit...
if you filter in the 2023 GMC inventory, supercruise is an option to filter, but "not equipped with supercruise" is also an option in the filter...and guess what, the number on both "options" are the same...and no, no mention of it being included or excluded on the window sticker
any option that is either unavailable or selectively available would be on GM's constraint list....if the option is completely constrained, then yes...it won't be accepted unless the order is modified. the dealer can put the order in but it won't go anywhere...
If the option is only...
this
if their process is to go ahead and enter the order, the order number should be available the day the order was placed. just try and make a friend with someone at the dealership...griping won't get anyone anywhere
we didnt have one waiting, but ordered a 23 first of August (Z71 w/luxury package) and it arrived 8/28. as in our first contact with the dealer about ordering a 23 was 8/1. guess they had an open allocation as we were at 2000 the next day. guess just shows that this whole ordering debacle has...
if you didn't buy it new, put your VIN at the end of the link below...retrofits for park assist started appearing on the window sticker as credits at the beginning of 2022
our 2022 built in March was the same way...front/rear park assist and heated seats wouldn't work from factory...
think XM/Sirius radio...
maybe I'm a part of the minority, but not sure what these car makers are thinking...article below states..."General Motors expects consumers to fork over as much as $135 per month on top of their car note in the coming years just to pay for subscription features."...
just sold a 22 Tahoe, most dealers didn't even really want to look at it - and several that did wanted to stay at sticker ($66k) or below - average trade in was $5k over original MSRP. cheapest similar Tahoe (basic Z71) I could find online was $8k over
here's the offers I received
Carvana...
now the big question is when is it going to hit Chevrolet. local dealer said they've been told GM is going to up the base price and then have a $299 mandatory option fee for onstar since GMC has taken some hits on the $1500 "option"
I was surprised the base price difference in a late model 22 Z71 and an early 23 was only $500 since there were over $2k in price increases during the 2022MY production run. Will be interesting to see how 2023s are priced next spring
What did each of the three dealerships say about lead time? Did any of them say they have an allocation available for a Denali? Searching for one already built would be the first path I'd go down for sure...you may have to change the 2022 to 2023 in the url as it doesn't look like GMC has set...
feel your pain.
we ordered three tahoes and an AT4 at the end of the year and only one tahoe ever showed up - we just got lucky with that one...
hopefully your deposits were refundable, but then again, if you never received a vehicle the dealership would be hard pressed to fight to keep your...
most late 2022 builds had a retrofit for parking sensors - meaning there was a line item on the window sticker with something like a $50 credit for those options not to work until GM "has the parts"
haven't heard about a retrofit for any cameras...I'd reset the infotainment and if that doesn't...
same here as far as overall inventory - but not seeing any Yukons/Tahoes stick around very long. can't remember the last time I drove by one of the five or so GM dealers in our area and saw a Tahoe on the lot available to buy
but it's changing for sure...combination of people frustrated with...
