Online Chevrolet chat has actually been able to relay the status with good reliability - of course my two orders haven't made it past 3000 yet - but they did relay the TPW when I found out one had just been accepted
this is the thread that a lot of people reference - a GM employee updating...
Ditto with what everyone else said. Our local dealers are charging over sticker for out of state buyers and I’ve been hit with the same when trying to buy one out of state. One dealership, we had agreed in principle after two days of discussing the vehicle (initially wasn’t “available“), and...
Had a dealer reach out yesterday, one I had inquired about a sold Tahoe in transit…said they had 5 Tahoes that were accepted as stock inventory, LT, high country, RST and a Z71…all at sticker with no add-ons. If i didnt Already have two with a TPW I’d had probably put down for the RST. Anybody...
Everybody is in a different situation for sure.
We ordered a base AT4 in early december with the tech package and rear media. No movement on that order and probably not anytime soon (no deposit on this one)
Went to another dealer that had a refundable deposit and ordered a Z71 the first week...
well.
couple different ways to go about this - but my initial thought is that when I've bought using the supplier discount, I already knew the price they were supposed to charge before I went in - there's a supplier website that allows you to build a vehicle or find one in inventory and it...
I've taken a look at these over the past few week- first time i noticed the "allocation" quantity down at the bottom...guess it really is like winning the lotto (albeit a small lotto) in order to even get an allocation for any of those constraints. Imagine a dealer that receives an allocation...
sorry - i left out the "cross" part - i was trying to build a similar vehicle on Chevy's website and finally figured out it was the optional "cross" rails - was thinking the Z82 trailer package was an option
appreciate the feedback - not crazy about paying $500 for an option we'll never use but...
Have a dealer that has an available Tahoe sitting at 3000 with a TPW of March (dealer stock) - when looking at the list of build codes, noticed that it had the roof rack rails included...which to each their own, but its not an option we'd order.
From what I can tell, they are supposed to be...
as far as the odd but common TPWs - had a Ram 3500 ordered, expected build date was 1/17 (as were quite a few other known trucks - another forum has a listing of almost 1000 users' trucks broken down by order date/estimated build date/actual build date/window sticker/delivered date and a few...
Back to the steps - to each their own, but with four people getting in/out of the vehicle all the time at different times, someone is always waiting on the step to go back down...its going up when we are getting out as the kids get out first, or they get in first and we are waiting on it to...
Yes - step motor went out. unplugged it to stop the noise as it was consistently doing it in the same intervals in the video whenever the vehicle was in motion - which is odd (guessing it thought the step was down and needed to be raised since the vehicle was moving?). wife wasn't too keen on...
been emailing dealers about Tahoes - have had several dealers, after telling me the in transit one is sold, that they could order me one. Most don't even respond when I ask if they have any Z71 tahoe allocations.
2021 Yukon AT4 - 39k miles - so out of warranty
Noise coming from the front right, sounds like a motor in a bind, only does it when the vehicle is in motion
It's cold but not stupid cold....28 degrees
Also put the suspension in service mode and it's still making the noise - i kept it under...
Agree to an extent. Seems odd that a dealer isn’t allowed to move forward with an order that doesn’t have any current constraints with it. If a dealer can pre-sell a vehicle, you’d think they’d allow that order to move in line. Maybe it takes a few extra weeks or a month but there are...
the extra caveat is dealers selling at MSRP...and...currently have allocations...most of our local dealers are MSRP, but their either get a couple allocations a week or nothing at all
we're in a "new world" with dealers shifting towards ordering and selling a vehicle in 3 months (if we're lucky) vs having the inventory to make a sale today. seems a lot of these dealers don't know how to handle the customer expectations with ordering
all depends on the allocations that “your” dealer gets …two dealers 20 mins apart will more than likely have completely different alocations which equates to vehicle availability
of course it won't if someone turned the inner dial to off.....
edited - couldnt find confirmation online but I believe a small grommet had rolled down by the latch creating an obstruction - which in turn the dial moved to "off" by itself? is that possible? wife had messed with no telling how...
