    Lowest static GM suv

I'd say it's a combination of reduced strut travel allowing it to bottom out, plus the likelihood that the damping rate of the strut varies with position. I learned that the hard way with another lowered SUV. The shocks, in this case, had a much lower damping rate when compressed 2" below...

    Lowest static GM suv

So the weight of the front is supported by two bolts in tension at each strut? Am I seeing that right? Not criticizing, just trying to learn how this is done.

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

I couldn't agree more! My wife and I spent last weekend driving a rural highway in NC and VA for a 100-mile-long "road market"; basically yard sales and flea markets for 3 days. Comfortable, roomy, plenty of power, AWD made muddy areas drama-free, and plenty of room for all the crap we bought.

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

I changed the oil, oil filter and air filter today. This was my first oil change since installing the catch can. After 5k miles, it hasn't caught a lot. But I'm glad what it did catch didn't end up in the intake.

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

STOP SPENDING MY MONEY!!! Once I use it for the Yukon, I'll consider the universal one. Looks like the supplied hooks are crap. So If I've got to devise a clamp anyway, I may just build my own adapter from scratch. One Amazon review has a nifty setup made with PVC pipe and rubber gland clamps.

4 Piston Big Brake Upgrade from 2019-20

That makes me sad because I want to keep my Esky Platinum wheels, which are a similar design to those. Is the interference bad enough to require 1" spacers, or are you just wanting to use ones that thick?

Yes. That's what I put on my birthday wish list (my birthday is Saturday so I won't have to wait long). https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000TK9FE8/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_MA761PV9Z25CFP9NC2KH?tag=tahoeyukonforum-20

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

You can probably get an OEM reservoir cap cheap, drill a hole for the hose and make an adapter. Come to think of it, I might just get that pressure bleeder and rig up something with a hose clamp for my wife's Toyota. I agree that a pressure bleeder would eliminate the issues I've had with...

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

That looks handy. I, too, struggle with brake bleeding. I want to get the pressure bleeder. But my wife's Toyota can't use that (MC cap isn't threaded). So I'm planning to get a vacuum bleeder, which works about as well. I've borrowed a cheap one, and found that it leaked around the bleeder...

    Charging system upgrade

Be careful. Some places won't let you return "electrical" parts. You might save time and trouble by taking photos of what you have, and comparing to the alternator as it sits on the parts counter.

4 Piston Big Brake Upgrade from 2019-20

Definitely report back on fitment. I'd have the same setup, and want verification that they'd fit before buying parts.

4 Piston Big Brake Upgrade from 2019-20

Not on my Yukon, but the Mustang I used to have warped stock rotors in no time. I had a set cryo-treated, and they never warped. After that, I started buying aftermarket rotors from brakeperformance.com, which are cryo-treated. They offer plain, drilled, slotted or both. I use them on...

Licorice...blech. I think aside from the time they attempted single-serving salad packs, licorice has to be the most universally hated "candy" on the planet.

When you said you drove 500 miles for boom boom, between what I would have meant, and your avatar, I NEVER thought it would be fireworks, lol. Here in SC, we're surrounded by states where fireworks are illegal. So there are fireworks stands everywhere. I don't have to go 5 miles.

It did. Glad it's working again. But now I need to take new photos, as my rig doesn't look like the photo any longer.

I kinda like the upgrade, though it's taken getting used to. I keep scrolling past the pagination links, lol. But having other reactions besides "like" is nice. I wonder if signature pictures are fixed now...<goes off to 'speriment>.

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Out of curiosity, what's the part number? The Cold Case site and Summit both list only one part number for direct fit. But they list different part numbers from each other, with vastly different prices.

    Brake system upgrade

^^^This^^^ But be aware, the newer platform standardized on a different wheel offset, enabling these calipers to be much thicker than NBS/NNBS ones. Wheel fitment may be an issue.

4 Piston Big Brake Upgrade from 2019-20

+100 on the wheel compatibility list! I'd offer to test fit that caliper. But I've got too many projects already. If I got it, it would sit for months, which wouldn't do any of you any good. I'm still hoping for a template... I'm smiling because most of you are doing the sensible thing, and...

Going from 20's to 22's, more harsh?

I switched from 20's to 22's a couple of years ago, and didn't notice much difference. Potholes are a bit more jarring. But I could live with it to get a better selection of wheels. I run Michelin Defenders on everything. Keep in mind, tire pressure plays a role. 44psi is noticeably harsher...

4 Piston Big Brake Upgrade from 2019-20

I get all my OEM discs from Brake Performance. They cryo-treat them for durability and warp-resistance. I started using them back when I had a Mustang Cobra that would warp the fronts on a regular basis. They have several styles; plain, drilled, slotted and combinations. They also zinc coat...

    Wheel project: Black or color-match?

I'm not a fan of the machined areas on those wheels. If it were me, I'd get the curb rash fixed, strip them and powder coat them all one color. I like that they're already close to the body color. Based on what I can see, I think they'll look great. If you don't want them grey, I'd pick...

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

In my case, I was at my buddy's house, with a gravel driveway. So rolling the hoist was easier than a jack. We used a small tow strap wrapped around the front accessory drive. You have to pull the intake tube from the TB, but that's easy enough. You have to pull the engine cover off to make...
