Interesting that works so well for you. I have no experience with those shocks.
I live by a quarry so all the heavy trucks are hell on the roads. There is not too many options to avoid bad parts.
In my experience a lot of people with poor ride quality on these trucks assume that the front...
You really should have the "rubber" part. What happens when you bottom it out? You must have some mighty fine roads in your area.
I am sure that the stock replacement shocks are not doing @ridin_low07 any favors with the keys as well. A shorter body shock like you are suggesting would likely be...
I would consider something like this:

How hard would it be to install the esky antenna? I get fine service on my escalade. I know I have heard of some people running wire up in the door seal or some such deal in order to act like a bigger antenna.
Could be at the cluster. Soldered connections crack and lose connection. I've lost PRNDL on one vehicle, backlighting and several gauges on this one.
I pulled this one apart and touched up the soldered connection and replaced bulbs and some gauges.
Wow I didn't realise that this was such a hotly debated topic. I think we can all agree that if you decide to remove dexcool and run the green stuff thats fine too.
I've never had an issue directly related to dexcool so I choose to continue running it as it is the manufacturers recommended...
That is the best time to do it! Really does not cost anymore than simply replacing with the same original setup so why not go for a "free" OEM big brake kit?
I would not use a dremel at high speed on this. Having dremeled plastic things in the past it will melt and or be very difficult to control, especially in an area with limited access. I have no doubt that it would be able to cut it, but I do feel that there are better tools for this...
I've found carbon filters for around the same price as non carbon. Seems like a no brainer.
Here is what I have been running in my 05 for a year now:

Must have forgotten about this one. Installed the white 10 blade fan (it had a black metal 5 blade fan previously). No longer sounds like a jet taking off. Maybe slightly less drag on the engine? Or the clutch locks up less since it moves more air. A/c seems to be a bit better at idle.
Was a...
New KYB gas a just shocks in front. Sway bar bushings and links. Oil change. Removed original bump stops in the front and installed s10 zq8 bump stops which are progressive. Noticable difference! The bump stops were replaced about a week ahead of the shocks and I could really tell the difference...
I suspect the vast majority of issues with Dexcool is that people mixed it with the "universal" green stuff.
Still have Dex in my '94. Sure it has a new rad and waterpump now... but its like 30 years old. Works great.
Is that how the lower portion of the strut is installed from the factory? Looks upside down to me. I believe that bar goes underneath the control arm. If so that would make a difference.
Edit, did some googling and I guess thats how these are factory. Ive seen other vehicles with a similar...
Not sure. Newest GM truck I've installed it on is my NBS, which has torsion bars not coils. 5100s are on my Jeep which is mcpherson strut. On that the coil, bump stop, coil cup and rubber spring isolators are all reused.
THe 5100s have a different shock body with recesses in it for the C clip to land in that allows for it to be adjusted. I have installed both. Not sure how you'd make a 4600 adjustable...
I did my RCSB gmt400 with CLD tiles (noico), CCF, and most importantly MLV.
Made a huge difference in road noise, and comfort (definitely helps on hot days) and I still have to get MLV on the doors...
Pull the cluster out. Could be simply the connector at the back of the cluster. Lots of people including myself have had issues with solder in the cluster cracking over time and weak or non existent backlighting. I touched up all the solder and soldered in some new bulbs in mine.
