I did do it in 2017, so it's been awhile. I def remember it going directly over my chrome bumper. I don't remember if I needed to take my license plate lights out 1st tho. For some reason I took the bumper off, but I didn't explain why. My memory sux guys!

Recieved and installed this very budget catch can today. It's well made I'm seriously impressed! It even has a dipstick to check how much fluid it has rather than some awful sight gauge. Mounting was a bit of a pain, I made a ghetto temporary bracket out of some 1/8" flat stock that I can clean up after I decide if I like it there. The original PCV hose had considerable oil in it so I'm hoping it catches a lot. I've cleaned the throttle body several times and even after a month or two it seemed to be nasty again.

Looks like there is a filler cap you are blocking with your bracket. Otherwise looks nice.

First one I've seen that includes the stainless scrubber pad. I added one to my catch can and consistently catch more oil. My brother has a similar catch can on his '05. I made a simple bracket out of a piece of 1" wide x 1/8" thick flat stock, about 7" long and rounded the ends. I drilled a hole in one end for it to go under that nearest alternator bolt and two small holes on the other end for the can to mount to.

I modified my lights , but you definitely leave lights in and out cover over. I was wondering if the metal bumper was the same between Denali and Tahoe. Since I had the metal part I used that and sold my flawless chrome Tahoe bumper, like less than an hour after I posted it. That feeling when you know you could’ve asked for more money lol .

Yeah it's probably going to be more of a pain to check power steering fluid but its a new pump and I shouldn't have to mess with it much. Plus it's really quick to remove it.

I'm pretty sure the Mighty Mouse can I have has a similar steel scrubby in it. I'm just shocked how nice this thing looks and feels for $25. It even came with 6 fittings of different sizes all with their own O-ring which is nice.

Sounds Like we made nearly identical brackets, I just need to round my edges, get some better hardware, clean up the bend a bit and hit it with some paint. Simple and cheap since I pulled the flat bar out of the scrap heap.

Yup- rounded edges and a little spray paint turn ghetto brackets into fabricated accoutrements.
