Nice hot rod. While I appreciate the craftmanship and skill needed to do one right, I prefer bone stock prewar cars. You know, more along these lines. It's in my garage, right now.

Great choice going with the Infinity speaker. I have never been a Bose fan. If I wanted decent sound on a budget I would choose Polk Audio over Bose any day. My daily driver Kia Optima has the Harmon Kardon stereo and I think it blows away any factory Bose setup I have ever heard. Plus, I can...

Thank you, Sir. I will check them out. Did the weatherstrip happen to come with the little plastic push clips? Or do I need to source them separately? I've used https://www.clipsandfasteners.com/ many times in the past for all sorts of fasteners and clips so I would most likely use them again...

Anyone have a good source for weatherstripping? The driver's door opening piece is starting to fall apart so it needs to be replaced. I know the usual spots like Rockauto and whatnot, but does anyone have someone they have dealt with that has good prices and great service?

The lack of a cabin filter always amazed me.

I own a 35 year old motorcycle and there was one guy that 3D printed some gas tank rubber mounts. I bought a set and they were very pliable and rubber like. No idea what material they are but they are very rubber like.

I was traveling with another vehicle so I stayed around 70 - 75mph. I topped off with E-85 a couple of times but it was mostly regular 87. Go anywhere around 80mph and this drops quickly. I did not manually calculate the MPG and was going by the DIC readings.

I managed to squeeze 20mpg out of my Yukon going from So Cal to northern Wyoming. I was happy with the mileage considering the 6.2 is thirsty.

Having different colors for each side actually makes it easier when you are routing the belt since both sides of the belt run various accessories. I like it.

If I remember right, there is a pretty big gap without the rubber pieces in there. I would rather have them in there then not have them there. They would keep out leaves and other junk from falling back in there and needing to get pulled out.

Those old shocks were toast. Since they wear ever so slightly it is easy not to notice how bad they have gotten over the years. It was a night and day difference on every car I've done shocks and struts on. Was very noticeable when I did all four on my sister's 2009 Silverado. My brother in law...

Good to hear about the review on that leather. I have used Katzkin leather on other cars and their stuff is fantastic, at least it was 22 years ago when I first installed one of their kits. Seats still look great all these years and 250k miles later.

I know a guy that does antique car interiors, tops and trim. He says that modern foam is rated by a number and that number is the years that it is expected to last. He says modern foam is crap and is designed to be needed to be replaced in short order. Good luck looking for new seat foam, it...

It was a rough time, had to take about a week off work, couldn't do much around the house and I had a 6 year old that just wanted to play all the time. I still have the occasional twinge of pain when I move a certain way but I figure that is just the mesh pulling on whatever it's attached to...

Lucky for me I don't have to worry about hernias. I have mesh covering my entire abdomen. Had to have 3 hernias repaired all at the same time about 12 years ago.

    Towing stability

I just ordered another hitch from Tractor Supply. They are having a blow out on towing and trailering equipment so go check it out. Picked up a Reese 7,000 lb hitch for $65 plus tax. Not big enough to cover the actual tow capacity of my Yukon but still gives me an extra ton of capacity over the...

    Towing stability

I noticed the much lower hitch rating than actual tow rating of my Denali. Supposedly, my Denali is rated at 8,100 lbs towing capacity but the factory hitch says 5,000 lbs like yours does. GM must use the same hitch across all of their SUV lines. Guess if I want to actually safely tow anywhere...
