Do you know what you averaged for mileage? I did the same trip last November, WI to AL on a stock 5.3 and was right at 16 mpg for the entire trip. First big trip in my rig and I loved it. We used to take our mini van which was fine but this is certainly the way to go.
Doorman 38300 will fix that right up! And it's greaseable. $25View attachment 425390
best price I found was on amazon from world parts direct, around $100 each (oem)Anyone have a good source for weatherstripping?
The driver's door opening piece is starting to fall apart so it needs to be replaced.
I know the usual spots like Rockauto and whatnot, but does anyone have someone they have dealt with that has good prices and great service?
Thank you, Sir.best price I found was on amazon from world parts direct, around $100 each (oem)
if you buy oem they come ready to install with clips, the one that goes on the body from the wiper shroud to rear door slides on the front and has a sticky portion for the rear door and 1 clip at the bottom, that's how they are made. both are easy to installThank you, Sir.
I will check them out.
Did the weatherstrip happen to come with the little plastic push clips?
Or do I need to source them separately?
I've used https://www.clipsandfasteners.com/ many times in the past for all sorts of fasteners and clips so I would most likely use them again if the new piece does not come with them.
without damaging anything I would try a slim-jim harbor frieght sells them pretty cheap I thinkwhat a silly problem to have ha
rear door handle broke, as they seem to do, this is the 2nd one. atleast the knock offs seem good and pretty cheap. but the child door lock is on, so can't open the door from the inside handle.
I haven't even messed with it yet, part was just delivered a bit ago. anyone got any ideas of how to open a door with the child lock on without using the outside handle lol.
I'm thinking flip the seat back and try and take the door panel off somehow. Or if any piece of the door handle is left outside drill a screw into it so you can move it? On a side note. This guy below sell GM o.e.m. door handle take offs on ebay for only $20 for the entire set. I grabbed a set of gold ones for my Yukon.what a silly problem to have ha
