    Dissable TPMS

Take my 04... It came with TPMS. If 03 did not have TMPS and 03 cluster has no TMPS yellow warning light on the cluster, wouldn't my 04 (or BCM or whatever watches TPMS) computer still send text to display on the 03 DIC saying "Service Tire Pressure Monitor" if I put that 03 cluster into my 04...

Escalade roof rack side bars compatible with Z71 rack?

Text can be tough to sort out details sometimes... Mentions Esky "stainless steel sidebars" in post and title. It looks like the main rails that run along the roof from front to back. I am pretty sure the footprints of the mounting hardware at front and back of those rails are different than...

    Dissable TPMS

But wouldn't the computer modules on models that do have TPMS still send the message to 2003 DIC?

    American Racing AR200 18x8.5 15et

Did you say they are 15" rims? I had 16" rims off an older Silverado on my 04 Tahoe Z71. There was VERY little clearance between the inside of the wheel and the calipers! I don't think 15's would clear. 16 is as small as I would go. I had 20" on when I bought it. Swapped to old Silverado 16's...

2003 Yukon XL SLT DIC and climate control backlights not working

"New" (rebuilt) clusters are pretty cheap. New lights (can add LED swap for just a few $ more), everything checked or replaced. They are nice! https://circuitboardmedics.com/chevrolet/?_bc_fsnf=1&Part=Instrument+Cluster $180 repair yours $280 exchange for rebuilt (with lifetime warranty) HVAC...

    Heater Hose "T"

Just FYI for future readers... I'm all for GM part when possible. But for water pumps, I have high confidence in Gates as an alternative replacement pump. I have never had a Gates replacement fail on any vehicles I used them on after install. Fit, function, durability. Never an issue from my...

Inspect your brake calipers if you have a g80 rear axle

If the master cylinder is squared away and they are done with flushing the worst of thing out of the system... Maybe tow it home and do the caliper replacement and bleed yourself. I have done one-man brake bleeds myself. Not a big deal. Use a bleed tube with check valve (like $10 from parts...

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Welcome to the sad sack club! I am a founding member... You haven't lived until you've been wrenching in the hot sun and 98% humidity, only to get the bejeebers zapped out of you when your sweat covered arm contacts the battery terminal and the wrench in your sweaty hand grounds out on whatever...

Water in edge protection of hatchback

From where the water pours out in the video, I don't believe the source would be the stop light or coming through from the inside of the hatch. I don't have an Escalade or how that trim attaches to the hatch, but that is what I still think the water is collecting behind before you open it.

Water in edge protection of hatchback

If it were mine and it was really bothering me... I would carefully pop the trim piece off to see what was there originally (foam gasket, maybe?). If there was a seal there and a replacement like the original is not aailable, I might try a bead of silicone or applying 3M double-sided adhesive...

    Service Air Bag light

If the stores can't read them for you, it may be worth looking into getting a Tech 2 clone scan tool. They run $300 or less and can tell you more than you'll need to know about your older GM vehicles. If too spendy for you, something like one of the Zurich scanners from Harbor Freight will get...

2003 Chevy Tahoe- Transmission Fluid Change

If trail riding, a deep pan might not help ground clearance over obstacles if it hangs lower than a stock pan. When I had my Jeep, everyone in that forum was all about "tummy tucks" raising engine mounts and lifting engine and transmissions as high as possible to gain ground more clearance. I...

    Driver door

At the risk of being a broken record... Is the ground for the Body Control Module (BCM) clean and tight? Check the ground connections on the driver's side, in line with the door hinges. You will see where the black wires bolt to the body mount on that side. Pull them, clean the contact points...

    One Piece Tie Rods

Based on interactions with @S33k3r since I joined TYF, I don't believe there was any personal attack on your professional experience related to mechanical abilities or knowledge about off-road builds intended here. I used to have a Jeep TJ that came to me with a 3" body lift. That was more for...

    ALLDATAdiy discounts and extra vehicles

No... Be assured, I wasn't suggesting you were running a business off that account. I was just trying to think like Alldata might think regarding how single user accounts might be used. I wonder how many more new accounts they might get, if they made it easy and discounted more to add...

Escalade roof rack side bars compatible with Z71 rack?

If you are looking at those low-profile ones that lay flat on the edge of the roof... I don't believe you would be able to keep the Z71 rack and swap out just the sidebars from the Esky. The end caps and mounting brackets are completely different.

Escalade roof rack side bars compatible with Z71 rack?

Z71 racks are in high demand... If a change to Esky rack works out for you, be sure to post your Z71 rack on the forum. Ask a fair price and I am sure it would be snatched up in a hurry. My 04 Z71 was minus the rack when I bought it. The footprint of the mounting holes in the roof seem pretty...

    Several ABS codes

Does your Yukon has stability control? I would guess probably, yes. But I am not the Yukon specialist. Stability Control trucks appear to have 5 sensors (LF, RF, LR, RR + Transmission on the right rear). My 04 w/o Stability Control has 3 (LF, RF + Transmission on right rear) Here are both...

    ALLDATAdiy discounts and extra vehicles

That's too bad that is the business model they have in place. I get that they don't want one licensed user to go out and run a repair business (or possibly share among a few thousand TYF members), but maybe tie the license to proof of ownership (maybe a scan of registration) and VIN, then have...

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Never trust pre-gapped plugs as being accurate. Sure, I trust they are accurately gapped at the factory. But things happen in transit... Last batch I bought had one that was almost closed in in itself! I have seen people at the parts store ask to look at plugs before deciding if they want to...
