Thanks for the reply, so I’m not crazy! My car isn’t the only one! I will try messing with the exit lighting. Such a weird thing to do, turn off then turn on again
Well every GM car I’ve had, when you shut the car off at night the lights stay on for 10-30 seconds (whatever the setting is that you choose) and they don’t shut off as soon as you kill the motor.
Hello everyone,
So I put new LED headlights in the family rig - they don’t have a decoder or anything like that and they work great all the time.
At night when I shut off the vehicle, the headlights immediately turn off… but when you open the door to get out, they come back on and stay on for...
Getting new tires for my wife’s 2019 Yukon. Still has the stock tires on there - 265/65r18… I’ve been told that a 275/65r18 will fit on the stock suspension, does anyone have pictures of this setup on a stock Tahoe or Yukon? Also (and probably the biggest factor here), does MPG get affected much...
I can totally hear that now… I’ll see next time I start it up…. Have my wife hit the button and I’ll try and pinpoint where it’s coming from under the hood.
VVT issue also seemed odd to me, but I am new to these things - never had a VVT vehicle before. I will try a cold start via push button here soon and see if it makes the same sound. The last few cold starts I have done via push button have not, but maybe it’s just because I didn’t hear it...
i noticed a weird noise after using the remote start on my new to me 2019 Yukon. I haven’t noticed this noise when I start it regularly… almost sounds like the starter is not disengaging fast enough. Only does it on remote start when cold…. Thoughts?
Flew from San Jose to Palm Springs to pick this bad girl up… my wife is about to give birth to our daughter in a week and she said “no minivans” (she rocks). Her two door challenger and my ‘06 extended cab Chevy duramax are not made for hauling car seats. I plugged the AFM thing in as soon as I...
Another update!!!! Just spoke with the service advisor at the GMC dealer who dealt with the customer in buying it from. He said all lifters were replaced along with the cam shaft. And has a 2 year/unlimited mile warranty for the work he did.
Update : engine hours and idle hours seem on par for a vehicle with almost 60k…. Checking it out on Friday. We agreed on $42,000 cash. Which looking around seems like a pretty fair deal - after all private party is a big advantage for taxes and all that other crap.
Any opinions are welcome -...
Here is the hours for the car. I just got off the phone with him. I’m going to at least look at it with cash in hand and if it doesn’t work then so be it.
He’s selling it because his wife wanted a BMW (this is her car). Only one bank of lifters was replaced . The service gap was because his...
Wow good catch didn’t see that they were different mileages. I’ll ask him about the extended warranty for the repairs if there is any. Is this something I should reconsider then? Not much experience with this AFM stuff … just heard stories
He did when I spoke on the phone with him a few days ago, I forget what the reason was but it didn’t raise any red flags. I know it’s his wife’s car. I’ll ask him again when we talk next
