Flew from San Jose to Palm Springs to pick this bad girl up… my wife is about to give birth to our daughter in a week and she said “no minivans” (she rocks). Her two door challenger and my ‘06 extended cab Chevy duramax are not made for hauling car seats. I plugged the AFM thing in as soon as I got it and got an average of 22 mpg all the way back to Santa Cruz doing 80+ on I-5

22k on the odometer. One owner. Non rental. I guess the guy traded it in for a Subaru???

When I think about it, it’s pretty cool. My grandfather bought a GMC brand new in 1958 (he passed away some years ago but left me his pickup which I still have), my father bought a 1993 gmc 2500 that I have fond memories of camping in, I had a ‘77 GMC camper special a decade or so ago, and now I bought a gmc to make some new memories with my new family in. Feeling very grateful at the moment. Pics of these below (and when I buried my dads truck at pismo)

My wife would divorce me if I bought her a minivan.

Thanks for the replies…. Forgot to mention my mom owned a 87-ish GMC Jimmy (not the k5, the small one) that thing was pretty cool.

My dad drove a 1992 Sherrod 1500 GMC Vandura & 1993 StarCraft GMC Vandura van and they was awesome. The van had so much luxury including a 13” RCA TV, CB radio, Pioneer Radio for the rear passengers, VCR, Nintendo hookups & Alpine sound system. I use to love the rear sunroof and leather seats that was thick and juicy. I was the coolest kid ever to have this.

Very nice. My high school vehicle was a 1981 GMC Sierra 1500 long bed with the 250 straight-six. And I'm still carrying on the GMC tradition today.
