    I didn't. We got truck with that sensor. Mechanic, who replaced head and oil pump told me, that sensor was brand spanking new. A bit easier to get to, I'd have replaced it in heartbeat myself. Just for the heck of it.

    Sensor is already new. My suspicion is that, because engine had oil pump replaced along with bank 1 cylinder head, there could have been some debris that went into oil and strainer. I had strainers cleaned on wife's RX350 too. VVT is very sensitive to their condition.

    Noted. There's no VVT I should be concerned with, right? That is super sensitive to oil grade and I never had any issues using heavier oils on higher mileage engines with VVT.

    It's done. Bank 2 new head, new lifters, replaced oil pump and rebuilt transmission. All I have left is small stuff - LF TPMS, rear rotors and detail inside. Moral to the story - do not buy "mechanical" auction car. Unless you DIY repairs.
