Transmission issue

He messed up somewhere along the way in assembly. May have forgot a check ball or used the wrong gasket. Either way, it very likely needs to be rebuilt again. Are you near Amarillo, Texas by chance?

Transmission was rebuilt last week.
They could not tell, if anything was done to it or not as it was all covered in ATF.

??? Of course it was, everything inside a transmission is always covered in ATF. That doesn’t stop them from diagnosing if parts are new or not.
