There is a small chance your new vehicle could show up with some damage, so many more are shipped across the country with zero damage from shipping companies. Sometimes the factory will let flaws go out the door since they are trying to build them quick as possible. I wouldn't worry, your...
Sometimes the forums are a good place to vent for people because it is where complaints are better understood by members who share the same interests. Usually a better source of info than a car dealer or parts store.
When I found mine it was at the railyard in town unsold, the next day it was delivered to the dealer lot, but had to wait 2 more days for rims to be delivered.
Luckily the dealers in my area (SE MI) weren't charging over MSRP when I bought mine last fall.
I had a Husky rear cargo mat in my '19 XL, it was a nice mat but it had a smooth bottom and would slide towards the liftgate and cause it not to latch. I tried to secure it with velcro but it didn't work.
How much idling do you do? 160 hrs for only 1500 mi seems really high. My 21 has 1474 mi and only has 45.5 hrs, are you doing a lot of remote starting?
Remote starting has an effect on gas mileage.
I think GM will send out notifications that parts are available and then it up to the customer to make arrangements with the dealer for service. GM is probably hoping that since the customer had to wait so long for parts that some will never respond back.
The times I bought a new from a dealer seemed to take all day. The Ford I bought last I had to ask the salesman to hurry because I worked 2nd shift and had to drive an hour to work, but the salesman that sold me the Yukon was a true professional, from when I first called him to when I left the...
Talking about huge screens, have you seen the screen in the new Expedition? It's 15.5 inches with one big button, looks like more distracted drivers on the road soon.
Is the leather the same between the Denali and the SLT? I had the Katzkin leather in a Silverado that I sold last summer, it was so much nicer than the stuff in my SLT.
I have the sliding console on my yukon and didn't know what I'd really use it for, if it is slid back there's a big void between the front seats making it awkward to drive like that.
I guess I never understood it's purpose, a secret drawer and to move the cup holders back closer to 2nd row...
Yes I agree with you, I like the interior of the yukon. The front screen is a little misplaced, seems like a last minute decision. The rest of the dash is nice but I think the leather seats could have been a little nicer, have you seen some of the other OEM seats, much more detail and stitching.
I myself, tend to stay away from the E85 type fuel. Ethanol can do damage to rubber and other materials over time, even if the engine is compatible I don't use it.
Filled up a tank on a rental Tahoe once before I returned it because it was cheap.
I really think the front of the new Lincoln Navigator is nice looking, especially in black with the chrome. Too bad the rear doesn't look as good. Not a big fan of the side view of the Waggoneer/Grand Waggoneer, either. The big GM SUV, no matter which model top the list in looks, IMHO.
On my '19 XL I used the Husky rear cargo mat, it was a nice mat but it had a smooth bottom and slid back enough to keep liftgate from closing properly. I tried velcro but it would not stick to the plastic in the back area. On my 21 I went with the WT mat, it seems to stay in place better.
My dealer tried to push me towards a Suburban when I went to see him about a Yukon, saying he had a few Suburbans coming and I would have a long wait for a Yukon. It was worth the wait, I've always liked the GMC trim better.
I have the WT cargo mat on the floor, they don't slide around on that. On my '19 I used the husky cargo mat but it had a slick bottom and it would move outward and make it hard for the door to close. The WT seems to hold the carpet better.
The new generation of Yukon/Tahoe is so much nicer than what is out there. The other OEMs have a nice feature or two that I wish that was offered on these trucks but the overall styling blows everyone else away minus the lifter issues, IMHO.
