Wow!! Thanks for the write up!! I've really been wanting a winch without buying an HD bumper and I think I just found my solution! How much did the plate and hitch receiver run you if you don't mind me asking?? Also, if you could post a picture of the front from the side that would be great as...
Good to hear about getting the go ahead on the lift from you wife. All my mods are pretty much DIY. I installed everything except the suspension mods. My light bars I installed myself and I usually do a write up and document the things I do, but with the bars I didn't really.
I can tell you...
Sorry about my messed up link, I was on mobile in class LOL. Glad you were able to track down the info you were looking for. I put together a short album of more recent pictures of my hoe for you here: http://imgur.com/a/1ZL1U
. I recently installed a CB radio with a 3' antenna on the back...
Check out my parts list here. I ditched my blown autoride back in February

Yeah I didn't realize that until it was a little too late. Maybe one of these weekends Ill make a new bracket as it only took a few minutes to make the first one. I also need to take the antenna/bracket assembly apart and sand and put some star washers where the bracket mounts to the body cause...
Did a CB radio install.
I removed the factory slave cassette deck since it's useless ever since I put in a new stereo years ago. The CB radio fit very well in the space although its a bit skinnier than the cassette deck.
I also made a mounting bracket for the antenna that attaches on the rear...
Well shieeeet. I was looking at the Uniden pro520xl
The radio is thinner than the tape deck slot so if the speaker is on top it might resonate and amplify the speaker. Similar how putting your smart phone in an empty glass amplifies the speaker.
Or it might just muffle it and ill have to move it
Whats up TYF.
Haven't posted or been lurking for a while, but today I decided I'm gonna install a CB radio. The plan is to install it to the existing tape deck spot since it is non-operational since I installed my new stereo.
Much like this guy's install...
New "Fogs"
So I've been rolling with the no valence look for a while, mostly due to fitting my tow shackles and less rub with my tires. The only gripe I've had is it leaves the factory fogs dangling below the bumper like awkward wrinkly ball-sacks. They look like crap, are totally useless, and...
Yeah, my tie-rods just have 15 years of use on them and I do wheel and I wouldn't want one stupid mistake or rookie approach line cause me to break a tie rod out on the trails. That would really be a shit-show. I just want a little more peace of mind and have one less thing to worry about
I was thinking about beefing up my tie rods with the sleeves from Rough Country. For $35 I thought it'd be worthwhile. Has anyone tried these out? Someone with an '01 Tahoe gave them a good review but that could always be faked you never know...
Finally got her back from the shop. I removed my single row 20" led bar and replaced it with a 21" double row Amber/White bar. Really happy with the result. I have it angled higher up than the bumper flood and lower than the roof hyperspot.
Thanks again. I should replace both end links anyway since one is missing. But I want to make sure I have a OEM + 2" size replacement. I like Moog parts so I want to go that route.

Holy shit. These are all parts I need to replace since my new suspension tweaks since I'm sitting at 180k. I'm glad you posted here. I was thinking I'd spend just that on a pitman arm. I still haven't replace a busted front swaybar end link since my local autoparts store can't seem to stock the...
I've really been wanting to do this. My Hoe is at the shop right now cause I fucked up big time and popped a freon hose while drilling in my radiator mount. $450 mistake. I'm a full time dumbass.
Did you need to fab custom bracket for mounting and do you have a build thread? I really want to...
No worries. I think halos would look fine. But maybe consider painting your grill guard one color. I would go with a dark ultra matte black and go for the black on blue look. That would clash less with the halos and wouldn't distract from them. Also, they would stand out a whole lot better...
I responded to you on the other thread. Basically I don't think it would look bad either way but it'd help to see your guard

What does your grill guard look like? I don't really think it would look bad either way but it'd be helpful to see your guard
