USB dongle for bluetooth music streaming 2012 Yukon

I used GROM Audio on my Murano but just the USB function. For bluetooth/wireless, its a little pricier but I think still under $200.

USB dongle for bluetooth music streaming 2012 Yukon

There are adapters you can buy that would give you all the functions you are looking for but the price is 3/4 of a standard aftermarket double din (200-300 dollars). I forget the name but they do exist and were discussed in this forum before. Hopefully someone can chime in further.

    Dub's audio wormhole

yea, you have to delete all phones from the oem bluetooth memory. I forget how but did a google search and it pulled up how to bring up bluetooth options. I think its related to Onstar settings. the soldering MIC option should work. You must really hate the aftermarket one :). I never even...

Two Batteries- Parked for 6 days - Dead

Dam, the money/time wasted through troubleshooting is frustrating. Cant really say anything to help with diagnosis but just wanted to say I feel your pain. Almost makes you want to throw the entire truck away :(.

11 Yukon XL Denali - Center Console

its near the subwoofer but doubt they would dedicate that little mesh for the sub. There is nothing behnd it. Maybe its to help with ventilation for the amp/sub....

    Dub's audio wormhole

I'll say this, I never had an issue with the OEM mic but I think the aftermarket ones should be just as good or better since they are newer. The most common place to install is behind the rear view mirror and its pretty easy to do so. I dont think the OEM Mic was connected to the pioneer. The...

My 2011 Yukon Denali Totaled Sunday Evening

Glad you and kids are alive. Glad insurance took care of you (not sure what value really is but you broke even and free ride for 5 months). Definitely get a lawyer. The kids might end up being ok tomorrow but you never know what aches/pains/issues will come up later. They need that just in...

    Transmission fluid change tips

There was a technique I used where you put pressure on the exhaust to allow space for pan to slide off. It was very risky but seemed to be the fastest approach, nothing needed to be unbolted. It worked for me but still wasnt easy and due to the nightmares I got, my defense mechanism made me...

    Dub's audio wormhole

I used the same and still kept the mic and on star. Literally had to delete all saved phones. When I got phone calls, both interfaces (pioneer and OEM) would battle for the mic. Many times my whole radio would go black while my phone call still works. Still not even sure how that was...

    Any Success with Firestick/Belkin Stick/Chromecast ???

Definitely a possibility. I created this thread back in 2017 and ever since I upgraded to the Essential Google Phone in early August, these issues went away. Only time it slows down is when I'm in a bad area and has been consistent in those areas. This issue has been resolved. Resolution(s)...

D-Pillar speaker revisit - purpose and connections

I'll try that. I was using a youtube test tone so not sure if the source playing makes a difference. I'll test highter frequencies to see what happens. I am happy so far with the current setup which actually has overlapping front/rear > 80, sub < 100 But was just surprised that speakers werent...

D-Pillar speaker revisit - purpose and connections

Regarding all speakers in general, I would play 40 hz test tones and hear sound from front components which are set at 80 hz HPF. I understand there is a roll off/slope but didnt think I would hear. Same on the opposite side where 100 hz plays on sub taht is set for 80 hz LPF. Is this all due...

D-Pillar speaker revisit - purpose and connections

Just wanted to share that I was trying to set gains on my amp and when I used HU to turn my rear speakers off (pioneer 4200 nex has this option), the volume goes lower but does not turn off all the way. Any reason why? I'm guessing the d-pillar speakers are not considered rear in the wiring...

    Popping sound in speakers.

Try other sources just to make sure bluetooth is not the only good one (CD, DVD, etc). If they all work, there is no radio signal, although I would expect that hiss sound when there are no stations found. Just to happen out of nowhere, concerned it would be the HU.

    RADIO HELP

I believe radios have to be programmed to work with cars they didnt come with? Hopefully someone can chime in that has done this but thats what I'm thinking would cause it to have power but not do anything else. Also check fuse related to radio which I think should be on the side of driver...

    Changing rear diff fluid

From what I was told, you want to remove the cover anyway. There is a magnetic piece inside the cover that holds any shavings and you wont get rid of that when you ONLY change the fluid. TAking the cover off and properly cleaning the cover and extra garbage is recommended. After you changed...

Best method for changing power steering fluid.

I used a fluid transfer pump to get as much as old fluid out. Then I added new fluid and kept moving steering wheel around. Changed that fluid out and added more. I kept doing this until the fluid I took out was clear. Somewhat similar to changing transmission fluid.

    Center Console Mod NNBS

After pulling mine off, I added a USB/AUX port in place of the cig lighter. USB connects to the old cig lighter now hidden behind console while AUX connects to radio up front. You can find this on amazon.

Metallic sound when accelerating 2009 Tahoe

Wouldnt any cat sounds or heat shield sounds be noticeable in neutral as in drive? The engine still moves and exhaust still flows. Pulley sounds that loud should show something strange in Park, after all, its right in front of engine and easy to see. I'm thinking hangers or something where...

D-Pillar speaker revisit - purpose and connections

LMAO @ 120 ohm The 3rd option seems best since I still need an amp. I never seen 8 ohm coaxials nor components or never bothered to look. Appreciate the feedback.

    Shutter/chattering Trans or converter?

Few of us had similar issues and always with very light throttle. Typically a 4th-6th gear situation where rpm's are very low (under 1800). All signs seem to point to torque converter but doesnt mean there isnt something going on in tranny too. Do you also feel a delayed thud when you brake...

    Audio System upgrade

I found a good deal on a Hertz ES300.5D in a custom carpeted box. Fits in same location. No more ugly box but missing that Helix sub still. It did everything very well. This Hertz sup is good, but way more SQ than what I'm used to.

D-Pillar speaker revisit - purpose and connections

Copy. So if I was to get an amp to connect to the wiring at the bose amp, what ohms should those d-pillar speakers be to run a 4 ohm load to the amp, with the fact that i'm already running 4 ohm speakers at the doors. I understand if I dont connect any d-pillar speakers, it will be a 4 ohm...

Feels like I got hit in the REAR when I brake

In my situation, no noise. A hard brake is made where truck does a slight nose dive. You tense up. Truck goes to a complete stop. You relax and you FEEL a thud right after, as if half the car was a dimension away and caught up. It almost feels like you got hit in the back. RPM's jump a...
