Who has taken their Denali the other direction? I think denalis look good but I'm curious to see if anyone has maybe leveled one and put some 17s or 18s with all terrains etc.
In my opinion the only two reasons to own a truck are
1. You own a fifth wheel/gooseneck trailer
2. You want a truck.
Outside of that a 3/4 Suburban will do anything a truck can. Need to haul a refrigerator? 6x12 utility trailer. Need to haul dirt bikes? 6x12 utility trailer or hitch hauler...
I'm in the "needing a transmission rebuilt" club now. I found a nice alto kit on eBay. Just got quoted $1800 at a local shop. Seems excessive when I can I buy an updated one from advance for 1300 and swap it myself and have a better warranty. What did you end up doing?
What you're saying makes sense. I'm not transmission savy so I prefer the nearly bolt on side of things. When you say not much more than an oem rebuild kit how much are you saying? Looking like a 80e swap is going to run $2500 or more. I found a 60e rebuild kit for $185...
Looking to get about 380-400ish hp around 450 ftlbs. Like I said it's to pull better. Not to race. It will be used to pull a 6000ish pound enclosed trailer possibly more.
lol I agree my uber powerful 5.3 isn't tearing it up. That said I am planning a turbo upgrade(only 6-8 psi to help with pulling, not racing) at the beginning of next year which is why I don't want to dump a ton of money in to this 60e. Thanks for the info though. Guess I know what I'm doing next...
Having some transmission issues. Shifting weird and not downshifting etc. I changed the 1-2 2-3 shift solenoids today. Problem comes back intermittently. Probably going to try the pressure solenoid and if that doesn't fix it I'll make a boat anchor out of it. Before I shell out $600-1000 bucks...
I know. I want these on during the day too and don't want to have to keep turning my parking lights on and off. I'll figure a way to run the whites in the switchbacks as DRLs and the Amber as signals. Do the DRL always on mod and interrupt that circuit when the signal is on. Essentially I'll be...
Start there. I check my 04 Tahoe when this happened. Switch was bad. Checked my 03 Suburban when it did this. Switch is good. Looking to reprogram the module. Will let you know how that goes.
All because people would rather buy the cheap stuff and throw it away and buy another than buy a quality product. Goes for Europe and Australia too. Not just America.
Damn auto correct. lol. Only thing is with this mod you won't have DRLs. Hmmm. Maybe I was correct to begin with. I like the DRL. Maybe I should throw a pencil to paper and draw it out.
i guess you could wire the whole bumper light to be the drl and use some diodes to stop current flowing back in to the signal and visevera. When you flip the signal for that side it cuts out the drl and and the whole bumper light flashes etc.
How would you do it?
I like how the DRL went off when the signal was on. I was thinking of ways to do the last night with relays etc. if someone has already figured it out Though...lol. I'd rather learn from them. Also where did you get those lights?
Just so you know what I'm trying to accomplish. I had two
Bmws and they both had small leds in the roof that emitted a small amount of light but the center console was slightly visible when driving at night. Something to that effect.
