Is GM owned by China?

There's always someone trying to undermine the value of GM products. They were laughing and telling me that China owns GM. Can anyone tell me the history and the status to date of GM?

While GM has business partners and produces vehicles in China and other Asian countries, since 1908 it has been based in Detroit, Michigan, US of A. Pic related.

Does China own GM? Not yet. The way things are going, China will probably own the US and, therefore, own GM.

China already owns the US. Currently we owe them about $1 trillion.

All because people would rather buy the cheap stuff and throw it away and buy another than buy a quality product. Goes for Europe and Australia too. Not just America.
