    i want boost...

What is needed besides duct work and brackets, is a way to control the fuel. I heard of some guys trying the system called “mega squirt”. It is a kit to make your own controller. They were not successful and ended up replacing it with FAST. Cost them an engine too. I think it all...

    i want boost...

Brackets and mounting plate. Oil feed line, oil drain with connection to oil pan. Then you would have to fabricate the air ducting to the intake. Most important of all, you need a way to add the extra fuel for the air being added. The difference between this S-Trim and the one for the...

    i want boost...

I have a supercharger on Ebay right now. Also the small pulley listed separately... :) This S/C is in super condition. It is off of a Camaro, but it would work just fine on the Trucks...

    i want boost...

Maybe, maybe not. It is true that the Magnachargers are designed to make less power than the centrifugal superchargers. I believe that is because they are expected to be installed on “stock” engines that cannot take much boost because they are already at 9.5 – 10 to 1 compression. You...

need a new inake plenum (little plastic thing...)

If you guys get tired of messing around making your own, there is a nice piece made by Extreme Velocity. http://www.superiorairflow.com/carb-hats/polished-aluminum-4150-series-o-ringed-carb-hat.html They come with O-rings to seal things up and there is also a riser section if it is too...

    Dealing with Rust.

A couple of years ago, I found a little spot of rust next to the hinge in the jam of the tail gate. I brushed on some of that Extenze. It stopped the rust and it is frozen in time like the day I found it a few years ago. The stuff does some kind of chemical reaction, blocking the rust from...

    tranny removal

I would leave the transfer case, unless you need to work on it. The cross member can be unbolted and slid back. The transfer case can be left sitting on that cross member. The bolts holding the cross member to the frame are longer than they need be and are probably corroded. They might...

    Twin Turbos :)

The banks turbo setup for the Mercruiser is perfect for that application, but would be almost imposible to adapt for automotive use. The water jacketed turbo’s are expected to have access to the same cooling water, the marine exhaust manifolds are using. I have watched a lot of guys...

    new winter 4 x 4

Just picked up a new 4 x 4, to deal with the Minnesota winter. The 95 Tahoe is going in storage for the winter. This is a little lower to the ground, but the all wheel drive should do the trick. Anyone have any experience with these cars? What do you think? :)

    F/I conversion that program's itself !

I saw the FAST add in this month’s issue of Hot Rod. This looks like the break through for changing to F/I from Carbs, or even upgrading from older F/I systems. Bolt the system on, plug and play electrical hookup’s and the computer program’s itself. Might be an option for some of these...

whos got the hottest hoe here?

Congratulations This forum represents about every extreme that can be dreamed up. I mostly love the fact that everyone is dedicated to their trucks, at what ever level they are at. I personally enjoy all the variations that I see no matter what specialty. Some of you are into paint and...

    Frame paint..what do you use?

Rustoleum for sure. I have found that the "brushed on" paint seems to last longer than the spray. I just clean and paint a small section at a time. Not much masking needed when using a brush. :)

Nice! What would you guess was the total price, going with new parts?

    Factory Five Cars?

In the Hot Rod article, it looks like they are having to do a lot of body work to get the panels to fit. How was the Cobra for fitting the body parts?

    Factory Five Cars?

Just wondering if anyone here knows anything about Factory Five cars? Hot Rod Magazine has a article this month on the new, 33 Ford Street Rod. Any builders here? http://www.factoryfive.com/hotrodhome.html

Could you elaborate a little on the wire that you hooked to, when the problem happened? Also what do you mean when you say, something burned out?

Does anyone know how much our generation Tahoes cost?

I have a copy of the original MRSP on my 95 Sport. It was fully loaded and stickered at $29,737.00

Finally some pics of my rig.

Looks great the way it is. Lowering it a couple inches and maybe wheels if you have extra money laying around. If you do wheels, I wouldn't go any further than 18's for the climate in your area. :)

    H D Floor mats ??

A while ago, someone was looking for some all weather floor mats. These guys make the ultimate floor mat or liner. They are like ABS floor pans that overlap the door sill. I have used them on all of my Tahoes and Suburbans for years. They are expensive, but you only buy them once...

    T.P.I replacement for T.B.I?

It has been a while since I bought my kit, 2003. I had gotten mine from Truck Addons.com At that time they were listed as “92-99 Suburban K-1500”. The kit was for the keys and leaf springs only. The shocks were sold separate front and rear. I paid $405.00 in 2003 for the lowering kit...

    T.P.I replacement for T.B.I?

I used the Beltech kit. Keys in the front and their new leaf springs for the rear. The Beltech leaf’s, are too weak for towing, so I had to add Air Lift bags for towing trailers. That works out better probably, because I can adjust for the load easily. I was lucky that the stock keys came...

    T.P.I replacement for T.B.I?

The first version S/C I used was the Vortech kit that was for the throttle body style stock manifold. It had a block with two additional injectors that went between the stock throttle body and the manifold. It had a stand alone, control to pulse the additional injectors, by watching manifold...

    T.P.I replacement for T.B.I?

I used the Holley 9901-101-1 for my second version with a supercharger. I thought the isolation from the valley cover might offer some heat reduction in the intake. It also is a nice place to run wires and hoses to try to keep the clutter to a minimum, It did not have the rear coolant...
