Take the belts off, start the engine, give it a rev, and shut it down. Don't run it for more than about 10 seconds like this - you won't be spinning your water pump. But that'll tell you if it's belt related or not.
Death wobble on IFS... HMMMMMM
It's most commonly seen on a solid front axle vehicles due to the interaction between the drag link (steering) and panhard (secures axle to frame).
Seeing this on a truck with IFS.... Something is very, very wrong.
Things to check:
- Post alignment specs. I...
Keep up on *all* your fluids. They don't do well with degraded stuff. Like our rigs, in many ways.
They'll poop out water pumps and tstats if the coolant goes bad
Turbos will leak if you run your OCIs too long
Run some fuel system cleaner through it periodically. These like to build up a fair...
Trucool 40k. Keeps my trans temps under 150 even in triple digit weather
The folks over at PT have a nice install kit that includes brackets and a compression fitting to relocate the line. It's a ~15 minute install. Just bring a pipe cutter...
Oh I know :)
That was the vid I got after I got the problem to manifest predictably. First time it happened, I was on the freeway going ~70. Just a random hiccup for a fraction of a second.
And FWIW, torque converter doesn't fully lock up until like 58 ish. Whenever it can go full-lock at...
Yeah when mine first started, I thought it was the torque converter. Only happened for a split second. Felt like it was randomly locked and unlocked. Got worse as time went on and I was able to properly diagnose it
Can't comment on if this is your issue or not. And might be difficult to test for given how intermittent the issue is.... But I had similar when my fuel pump failed. When the pump got warm, and presumably the fuel as well, output pressure would drop and it couldn't keep up with fuel demand...
So lets look through the numbers
Sodium and potassium is coolant
Silicon is RTV and gaskets
Lead / Tin / Copper is bearings
The antifreeze percentage is going down over time
Coolant + oil like to really stick to things and stick around. So I'd expect that to be persistent for some time.
I'd...
If you open your passenger side door, you'll see a torx screw near the bottom of the windshield trim
Grab the rubber there, pull it off, and there will be more of them. Remove those, pop the trim piece off, and you'll have access to that area
It's not uncommon for the elements to wear with use and go open-circuit.
Go under the seat and pop the plugs out. Ohm out both the elment and the thermistor with a multi meter. . If it looks good, have someone get in and out of the seat a couple times. If it reads short or open circuit, you've...
Well, boys...
Looks like it's solved! Not sure if it was cleaning the contacts or tossing a bead of solder on the end of the springy dingus-bit. But either way, fixed it fixed!
Fless if you're ever in the Seattle area, I owe ya a drink or 4 for that one
Edit: Aug 31st - yep, it's definitely...
Too big for any interior trim
No witness marks to indicate it was used to secure a seat - seat holes go through the body. You'd see discoloration on the end of the bolt where it was exposed to the elements. Also the wrong bolt type for that. GM uses a zinc galvanized (silver-gray) bolts for...
The leaves might be chasing a false indicator. Any hole large enough for that would be large enough to stick your finger in - would be obvious. Could be from having the sunroof open or anything from a previous owner.
When you say you flex sealed everything, what is everything?
As far as...
New green or old green?
IAT or OAT?
Cause there's a biggggg difference
I can't imagine why a newer PHOAT or even SIAT formulation wouldn't work.
I'm also astounded that champion would try to classify coolant as 'ethylene glycol' which literally every single f*king automotive coolant on the...
Yep, horns are good. No corrosion on plugs or wires. Can short pins in the fuse box and they go.
That ground is good too. I actually re-did that one last year evaluating an unrelated concern.
Yeah I have access to that too. Just no tech 2. See if I can skirt by without it again. Keep waiting...
