I finally found some numbers in reference to the two springs I had to select from
22826890: Spring Rate 682.93
23312164: Spring Rate 599.56
I tried both with the Bilstein 5100 and although the 23312164 felt great I think the little extra stiffness from the 22826890 felt a little better.

check the emergency brake cable. I had a similar sound, I tried to secure the cable better and it helped for a bit but found its way back. I can mimic the sound when tugging on my emergency cable pathway.
I dont think you will be disappointed. I just replaced my fronts with Bilstein 5100 and right away I knew it was a worthy choice. I dont recall how the Magneride system was brand new but I am happy with my $230 front end upgrade. Already looking to replace the rears now.
Hard to tell from the posted info. I think a call to a GM service department might have to be made to help explain. If all the same parts (except material) I could easily see aluminum being a better choice for weight savings on a suspension.
If you figure this one out please post the answer.
I have a pair of GM 23312164 (6ZR/7ZR) and pair of GM 22826290 (6SH/7SH) coil springs.
I purchased a set of Bilstein 5100 struts and before spending the time figuring out which spring would pair better the the Bilstein 5100 struts I was wanting to see what other people were using with their...
I am also questioning which springs should I use. I have a set of springs from a 6ZR/7ZR codes as well as 6SH/7SF code. I question what the spring stiffness is between the two. Would my Magneride coil spring pair better with non Magneride shocks or just stick with the non-Magneride shocks with...
I personally like the Active only for the reason I have trailers that I use on grounds that are not level and find having the ability to let the air out to gain clearance help me a lot in a couple situations and ever after making my connection to the trailer having the rear shocks fill back up...
"Finally got the Arnott SK 4261 that was recommended by Arnott Customer Service.
2018 Chevy Suburban Premier 4WD.
Took it back to stock height. Bottom edge of fenders is at 37 1/4 inches. I was surprised that both sides measured the same."
any feedback on the SK4261?
plus I keep reading the Bilstein 5100 are more for lifted but I want to keep mine 2" lowered up front, would I be forced to go with the 4800 series strut?
I still question why soany spring part numbers then. Wish a certain spring was the golden ticket to comfort. I'll use what I have with a set of Bilstein 5100.
Also would 5100 still provide stock height. I do have Beltech spindles but I read most 5100 are used in lifted applications
I searched but couldn't find the info about spring rate between the MRC spring and non-MRC spring. I will be on the search for some springs to swap out my MRC front suspension for non-MRC setup. Besides getting all confused on the dozen or so struts to choose from because I figured I would buy a...
I didn't get around to my Suburban yet but just did my wife's Impala and I was amazed from day 1. I am A DIY person so I did it myself with Avalon King products. Took about 5-6hrs mainly prep time but very slick product. Can't wait to get to my Suburban
Well as a follow up I dropped my vehicle off and described the differences with towing weight. I did get a loaner luckily as I was told the transmission service department was backed up.....I thought I waited 6 weeks to get in not to just get in and wait but.....
I was curious what is a GM...
Hello everyone. I am in search of a trans issue relating to what I am about to post but didnt find one that fit my concerns.
Its been a while since I felt like my trans feels like it "bucks" ever so gently when accelerating but this past weekend I was towing 3000# the bucking was VERY...
