this is also good info for the people who's VIN doesnt specify ZW7 but want that shock to convert to. I have MRC setup and want to remove the front MRC shocks and go towards the "Premium Smooth Ride Suspension" option. I know what they feel like and I do not know what aftermarket feels like so...
Call, I know there are spacers and other little tricks to help fine tune the height you are desiring. Also don't let the #'s fool you. I didn't think I wanted 2" but it isn't that drastic if you ask me. I wanted 2" but feel the 2.5" was better. 3" wouldn't work with the lack of drop I saw on my...
Max, I talked to RDT Diesel. I forgot his name) and he commented on using the stock MRC parts with new after market shock is doable but the modifications to make it work was not a cut and dry task and suggested to use stock Non MRC parts. He couldnt comment on the spring rate and functionality...
If the rubbing is in the rear of the wheel well then how could a 1.5" drop effect that area of space. I could easily see if it upper fender well was effected. The rubbing i see on the fender well might be in an area might be grooved in such a specific are that the tolerance is so close were...
Yep, I was pulling into a parking area and at full turn going over a curb the sound coming from the front end was bad. Bad enough my passengers quickly asked what was wrong....I was embarrassed to tell them that it was normal. I really feel like swapping to the stock spindle and change over to...
keep us posted on tire performance. That was my second option and still am option for future tire needs.
Looks good with the chrome snowflake combo. Where did you get the set?
the part of the fender liner is pressed right against the interior cabin liner so maybe banging the liner might be minimal but enough then there is really not a place to zip tie but....I will have to experiment.
Here is some findings from my front rubbing. With new tires I did full lock to lock and only found rubbing inner fender but at some point I see some rubbing on sway bar
Nocal, is this normal for vehicles with stock 22" wheels?
I will have to check that. I just stuck my hand around the tire when it was on the ground and just felt the fender wall plastic. I will have to raise vehicle and get a better look at what all its touching.
I also have a odd sound from my rear after spring change. I need to raise the vehicle...
My RST Suburban also rubs when in full turn left or right. I just switched to michelins tires and dont recall hearing it (just got them yesterday) but with the stock Bridgestone's I heard it. It was very slight touch but enough to be heard. I couldnt figure out a way to avoid it.
I would guess. I know with Belltech kit it comes with smaller bump stops so there is a good chance that the stock bump stop is just a little too large for any additional lowering
