Ok that's good and all that matters really...
However
500 hours engine ON time to achieve 81,000 miles is just not possible. That would mean the vehicle was driven at an average 162 mph.
A cluster swap would explain. The cluster comes of rather easily on these vehicles. You wouldn't be able...
Just checked mine. 89,795 miles 4323 engine hours. Average speed 20mph. Mileage 100% confirmed by Carfax. 1 owner vehicle almost exclusively driven in City with idling so I'm not surprised.
Our 2018 Tahoe was a highway queen. Had 81K miles in 2-3 years!! Even then I think we had over 2300...
The headlight switch also has a gremlin where the dimmer switch has to be right smack in the middle else no backlight illumination...
so what the word on this ? Part # 15755595
#1 Repair original
#2 Buy New old stock OE GM part ($75 or so floating on eBay)
#3 Buy top tier reproduction (Standard...
I found some lower cost options.... I'll need to call the dealer and get the part number for my VIN and see which one I may possibly need. GM part would be nice, I always buy NOS/OEM parts but at 8X the cost it begs the question...
Thats a really good referral on the website. I'll check it out...
I'm used to buying year specific factory manuals if I know I'm going to keep a certain vintage of vehicles. Thinking its about time I invest in GMT800 collateral!
Thats exactly where my head is at... something keeping the vehicle awake all the time! I'll look more into door switches!
(Pretty sure there is some form of switch as the radio turns off when the door is opened.)
The 2002 Yukon had unexplained battery discharge while the ABS module was sent off for service this week.
I did observe this strange behavior when a few times when I opened the door, the chime kept going non-stop (ding, ding, ding....)... another time I noticed the chime not going off and the...
Installed the ABS module that came back from the eBay service (rapid_electronics). For $79 it was excellent service. 24 hour turnaround!! Mailed on Monday received back Friday.
Nice to not have ABS and brake light glaring at you !
I may have a battery discharge problem maybe from...
Found 2 bezels locally. One was a 03-06 and it didn't fit over the radio well, the other was a 99-02 and it fit like a glove. The 99-02 openings are wider and narrower (called 1.5 DIN or something), the 03-06 are meant for a double DIN style radio. The openings are clearly different, but unless...
Update:
Called dealer and found original radio part number: 15071234
Found same exact part number on eBay in tested and working condition. Was flawless. Definitely picked the best one even if it cost double the other ones... passed on all the ones with missing buttons ;)
Plugged in and worked...
I removed the ABS module Sunday (didn't disconnect battery ---- my bad.. didn't even unlock vehicle). I made sure the vehicle was locked afterwards. Came back today battery was completely dead.... not even enough juice to start with a portable jump starter. Not even enough juice to check CCAs...
I've observed this behavior on other 8 / 10 speeds in Sport mode.... will need to pay more attention (if and when I ever drive our 2024!) if this happens in normal mode on the GM 10 speed.
Sent off the Kelsey Hayes ABS module for a rebuild. Has the C0265 (Electronic Brake Control Module (EBCM) Motor Relay Circuit) code that showed up occasionally...I tried cleaning grounds but didn't help.
Last time I tried to do it on a Ford, it was a complete mess as the internal wirebonds had...
Do you know if they replaced the torque converter when they installed the new transmission ?
How many miles on the Yukon currently and how many when you bought it?
Yep! I sort of guessed that as I was tracing the fuel lines later yesterday. Of the little bit I saw (line from tank, to pressure regulator, out from regulator, I was hoping to find a pressure gauge of some kind.... was basically looking for wires to/from..)
Yes I was just showing the topology to show what modules exists. There is no FPCM.
If I go into the powertrain module, I can look at livestream data for probably 500+ parameters (all under various sub-categories like fuel trim, evap, misfire, etc)... which I have already done. I just can't see...
These are all the modules I can see. Under engine data there was misfire, fuel trim, EVAP, I/M readiness data streams none of which showed fuel pressure (or engine oil pressure which I was interested to find).
Glad everyone is safe. When a fuel pump cuts off, its a scary scenario.... Engine didn't have fuel or it seized !!! Its one of those scenarios. I think Seal Michael is probably correct on the FPCM.
Sorry about the Hotel and rental care expenses... well GM has to bear that (philosophically!)...
