Not that there's anything awesome about this car, except why are the doors so short?

Official Harbor Freight win or lose thread

Yup. I'm the second owner of one of these, bought it at my neighbor's yard sale. Nice little compressor. I added some more cord to it, about the only thing it needed in my book. It stays under the 2nd row seat in my Suburban. Also #40963 This dial back timing light is fine for a hobbyist...

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

These bulbs are OEM in a veriety of rides. They are a stock item at the chain parts houses around here ($25 apiece at AZ), so I''d imagine they're readily available across the country, without shipping and possible breakage.

    brighter headlight bulbs ?

Sure, man. Read this. http://www.finemotoring.com/ The bulbs are readily available at most parts stores for around $20-$25 apiece. Very similar to stock color temp @ around 3500K. Same 55W as 9005/9006 bulbs, so no additional heat is generated. No ballasts, no relays, no wiring. Minor...

    brighter headlight bulbs ?

My "PnP" 9012/9011 HIR's are waaaaayyyyy better than any 9006/9005 bulb in existence.

    Dreaded p1345

This isn't all that "dreaded". I'd consider a P0300 to be "dreaded". This is simple. You just need to have the distributor phased the right way, with a Tech 2 or equivalent and then your problem isn't a problem any more.

    1999 4x4 2 Door Tahoe

The front is hopefully riding on very loose torsion bar preload, and can just be "cranked" back up.

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

I used this on the water spots with a little piece of scotch brite pad. Works like a charm, with minimal elbow grease: The 9011/9012 bulbs are great. 9005/9006 bulbs are halogens, rated at around 3250K color temp, and the 9011/9012 HIR bulbs are around 3600K, so they're still very stock...

Head and intake Torque specs and order

You can interchange '062 heads and '906 heads. They're the "vortec" castings, and while they do have subtle differences, you can run them. Valve adjustment or lifter preload adjustment is the tricky part. I personally do not care for the method posted above. The EO/IC method through the...

    Valuing older Tahoes

I don't know the market in MN, but just finished a 4 month long assessment for where I reside, and this thing's priced high for where I live, especially considering this is their "end of the month closeout" or whatever. Any/all pricing is dependent on condition and pedigree. Check for rust...

    Need help with tires

This is my recommendation: These are high quality, long lasting tires. Great in all manner of terrains and conditions. They're a good solution for in between an AT and a dedicated mud grip. They are great in the rain, great in the mud, sand, dirt, gravel, etc. Granted, they're not as...

    Which headlight bulbs?

Here is the best compilation of info I've seen on the HIR bulbs. It is a very straightforward, logical, and affordable upgrade over 9005/9006 bulbs. http://www.finemotoring.com/
