I don’t think that’s an option. The inky caching of songs I’ve seen on that unit is where it may buffer a little so you hear the song that’s actively playing from beginning to end, but that only works on some stations.
I think what you’re referring to used an internal hard drive for...
Reposting this in this thread too only because it's the same subject...
Check this shit out…the latest GM TechLink publication shows on Page 4 they recently updated the TSB from 8k miles to 16k miles related to the TSB for the lifter replacement, meaning that if you have less than 16k miles...
Check this shit out…the latest GM TechLink publication shows on Page 4 they recently updated the TSB from 8k miles to 16k miles related to the TSB for the lifter replacement, meaning that if you have less than 16k miles they'll replace both sides...
I’ve got none…they only did the left side.
What’s funny is the service manger told me he hasn’t seen one come back yet so far with the other side, but I know from this forum that occurs. Guessing when it happens, it’s a situation when you’re not near the dealer so a different one has to do...
Thanks…I’m not a fan either. I tried for both sides and the dealer claimed they haven’t seen another one come back yet, although my guess is it happens too often when out of town and another dealer has to replace the other side.
From other forum posts on here, it sounds like they do run into...
You’re probably outside of that window since there was a one month lag behind my engine build date and the vehicle assembly date.
The engine build date is not easy to get to…I crawled under mine behind the driver’s side wheel and it’s in Julian date format located on a white sticker affixed...
That sucks…I just went through the lifter problem on mine when it hit exactly one year old last month and 9,200 miles.
Good news for me is the dealer that I took it to actually had the parts on hand so they had me up and running in about 3 days. Most though on here that have the issue are not...
Curious on fuses 60 and 67 in the engine fuse block. They claim to be for AFM even though the 21’s and newer have DFM.
Some of the guys on the Sierra/Silverado forums have been pulling those two fuses to disable DFM on their 2019+ pickups with the 5.3. It sounds like on the 5.3 it works, but...
I was curious on fuel cost of the gas vs diesel and according to fueleconomy.gov if you customize the fuel costs based on the current cost of diesel which is more than gas where I live, the fuel cost is actually more in my scenario where I put on about 10k miles per year with 80% of those being...
Mines slight un-center to the left for the past year. Had the dealership to a full alignment on it and it’s still off so I gave up.
That does frustrate me each time I go to drive it.
That’s a terrible noise. Wonder if it’s a lifter sticking…just went through the lifter issue on mine as when I went to start it up after sitting for a bit is when it went bad.
Course in my case it would miss and didn’t have the loud noise although they had to replace a valve along with the...
Just curious…the seat belt opening, is that in the 3rd row on the passenger side? That’s where I’ve got a water leak…drips on at the bottom of that 3rd row seat belt.
I can’t find it in the manual about the AC, but generally it doesn’t engage below a certain temperature…thought it was 46 degrees or close to that.
All I could spot in the manual is the AC light will be illuminated even below freezing. It shouldn’t run the compressor though at that temperature.
Just an update...it's confirmed that I joined the lifter club.
The downside is they’re only replacing one bank, so I’m sure I’ll be back into the shop at some point again...not overly excited for that.
Are you sure the AC is actually running? It’s normal for the AC light to be illuminated but not actually engaging the compressor. My 2017 Acadia did the same thing as my 21 Tahoe where in Auto mode the AC indicator is illuminated.
I have noticed the same thing regarding the headlights...
Just an update…I officially joined the lifter club.
They’re only replacing one bank, so I’m sure I’ll be back into the shop at some point again for the rest.
Just curious. Did they do all the lifters or just one side?
Waiting for mine to be diagnosed. No clunking on mine but it’s got a nasty miss and a bunch of warnings on the dash. Mines a year old with 9,100 miles.
That’s kinda what it sounds like to me…that it’s sending a false signal to change. Either that or if it’s changing to other presets, maybe the issue is a buggy switch on the steering wheel control on the back of the left side of the steering wheel.
You’ll want some sort of liquid solution to use with it. Normally I use Meguire’s quick detailer along with their clay bar which I think is about the same price. You can pick that up anywhere that sells car cleaning products (Walmart, target, advanced auto, etc).
That noise when approaching is the fuel pump priming itself…same noise you’d here on a vehicle with an ignition key when turning it to the run position before starting it.
I’m not sure why these do that. Seems like a waste of battery power to me if I’m just going out to grab something from...
I’ve tried a version of that from CarPro on Amazon and it does work. It smells terrible so use it out of sunlight in a ventilated area. If you wax your car you’ll want to apply a fresh coat to the areas you used that on.
Clay bar also works to get it off but will require a little more...
I agree. My 21 Tahoe is waiting for diagnosis on why one of the cylinders isn’t fireing. I suspect a bad lifter as on my case the engine falls within their known bad lifter dates.
Sorry for your experience. I got lucky that it didn’t happen when on a trip…I do feel your frustration though.
