    For sure I wonder if this solve my tire cupping inside wear problem I am having. I know one of the inner tie rods are shot and there is some play in the pitman arm. But I don’t think those are the culprit.

    Did you loosen the bolt that attaches the cover to the side of oil pan. I’m sure since that cover has a hole that surrounds the starter you can just let hang loose then reposition when your putting everything back together.
