    Problems after dod delete

Throw in timing and throttle position for the next log. Be curious to see if the truck is loading in response to the map signal.

The computers dont understand common sense to be clear, not you. Lol

    Problems after dod delete

The reason why it is better for you with the map unhooked is because it trips the computer into maf only made, and when it does that, it reverts to the base look up tables including the base fuel tables. You presumably have a stockish truck, so the tables it references are pretty bag on when it...

    Problems after dod delete

Yes, i would like to see the psi/kpa at idle. Do me a favor and change your scanner config over the metric so i have an easier time with it and a little more resolution to what we are looking at. Your truck is showing near 100kpa at part throttle which is the same as having the throttle wide...

    Problems after dod delete

Its easy to chase problems and find them while creating others. Huck the old map not maf, in and duplicate the driving condtion while loggin. We breath around 14 psi, unless you are under a slight load, you should not be seeing 2 inches of vacuum or near 14 psi.

    Problems after dod delete

Those fuel trims are not showing lean, there is nothing that shows a problem with positive 4 percent fuel trims. Was that log taken on flat ground at light throttle or going up an incline? If you were at light throttle on flat ground then there is a problem with the map sensor reporting...

    Upstream vs Downstream O2 Sensors

Oops, didnt finish the thought. It will also show if one of the sensors is pooched. If the sensor is shot and reading say -15 fuel trims, it will cause the engine to run lean and can cause pinging

    Upstream vs Downstream O2 Sensors

Start by cleaning your Maf with some electronics cleaner, then scan your upstreem 02 sensors and look for a difference between the two in positive or negative fuel trims. If you get an exhaust leak pre 02 sensor for example, one side with be showing more positive fuel trims than the other side...

Motor refresh complete, now no crank, no start

I do efi systems and tuning for a living, i looked at the truck for hours going over grounds and wiring and such. The truck fully defeated me because my experience, and a laptop with hp tuners, wasnt enough to figure it out. i was un-equipped to solve the problem. Gm only charged buddy a half...

It all goes through the bcm including the can bus signals, thats still my bet. Lol

Motor refresh complete, now no crank, no start

Not sure how competent the shops are around your parts, but you sound like you have more ability to fix the problem than almost all but the dealership themselves. Hopefully you bte the bullet and take it to gm, this will surely be one of the situations when paying more per hour, ends up with a...

Motor refresh complete, now no crank, no start

Perhaps the series of events is more the cause than anything. Maybe hooking up the power with the engine out and all the harness grounds unhooked wrecked the bcm or something. Not sure if its that, or the onstar battery running down that does something to the bcm, but the similarity is uncanny.

Motor refresh complete, now no crank, no start

Too many games on to dig it up, but its out there. There is plenty of general information on the failure to turn the key off before unhooking the battery. I will check around later for the specific to bulletin that says the same inclusive of your suv.

Motor refresh complete, now no crank, no start

Perhhaps the wording from the dealer was out of sort or he misunderstood. I found a gm bulletin last night that specifically addressed that removing power from the onstar module will cause the module to go into a backup battery drain that cannot be reversed and will require an entire new onstar...

Motor refresh complete, now no crank, no start

Gm even lists one of the features of the onstar button is to send help for a dead vehicle battery.

Motor refresh complete, now no crank, no start

I just googled "onstar battery dead" and it came up with all kinds of info about backup power sources installed in onstar vehicles to keep the system alive during an emergency where power is lost. I am simply stating the info that the gm dealership told buddy, but if you are arguing that the...

Motor refresh complete, now no crank, no start

The only fact i know is they changed the bcm and the problem went away. The rest might have been fiction. It for sure wasnt the ecm they changed, so hopefully yours is a different problem with the same exact symptoms.

Motor refresh complete, now no crank, no start

Onstar can read your codes and unlock your doors and stuff, not the weirdest thought that they designed a way to keep communication open during an emergency. Anywho... Just telling you what the dealer told my buddy happened with the exact same problem, guessed that you turned the truck on the...

Motor refresh complete, now no crank, no start

Possibly. Gm only charged him a half hour they nailed it down so fast. Didnt even take it off the trailer so you may have the power to figure the same. They did say once the power is drained on the bcm it is bricked though, so if you get down that hallway and find the bcm power is the problem...

Motor refresh complete, now no crank, no start

It was a while ago so i texted buddy and he said it was the bcm gm replaced and flashed. Gm knew the exact cause of the problem so maybe call your local dealer just to be sure before throwing good money around. It was 100 percent the same problem though.

Motor refresh complete, now no crank, no start

I was actually a little surprised to see when i read down that wiggling the underhood box made the shift indicator come back. In our case the shift indicator was gone as well, but didnt come back until fixed.

Motor refresh complete, now no crank, no start

Ran into this with a customer that did an engine swap on his nnbs silverado. He was moving it around his shop and at some point unhooked the battery while the key was on. I went to try and figure it out/tune the new engine and couldnt communicate with the truck. Turns out there is an internal...

Motor refresh complete, now no crank, no start

You didnt happen to leave the key on to move the vehicle around, and then unhooked the battery to work on it with the key on? I have seen that happen before and cause the exact same situation.

That last pic is with 20s and 275/55/20s with two inch keys cranked very near to max upwards with 20x9 yukon 20 inch wheels with a plus 24 offset. It doesnt take much of a drop if you care about your paint to run into problems. Trying to give as much info because of how many people will stumble...
