Tahoe Drop from Autoride to Non

So I ended putting back the Autoride shocks in the rear because it was sitting a bit lower in the back and constantly hitting the bumpstops. Haven't done the travel mod, but it rides really good now and only sometimes hits. Also installed my wheels. Rides really good and just rubs on full turn...

    cam plates

They do sell only the upper arms, but claim they only work with the 3in lower arms. The lower arms is where the drop is. The site also said the arms only worked on 2wd, but I sent them an email and said it works for 4wd too so I gave it a shot. It's possible the arms would work alone work too...

    cam plates

Look at my before with stock upper arms, Belltech bushings and McGaughys spindle. That upper ball joint angle is all wrong and looks like is holding on to dear life lol. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk

    cam plates

Yeah the BT were a pain. I had actually gotten the ones that you push out the bushings. I couldn't get them back in, so took to a place and they destroyed the ends and the rubber around them , so I swapped everything with DJM. Everything lines up perfect. You can see how the upper ball joint...

    cam plates

Extremely easy actually. You only replace the two outside plates with the cam locks by removing the nut and swapping plates. Just have to assure the pins line up with the holes. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk

    cam plates

I think the Belltech plates are I bit different. They involve grinding the slot a bit to provide more adjustment. I don't think I ever heard the plates gave more adjustment as the rotation of regular plates and the holes of cam locks are the same. I could be wrong though. That's why I ended up...

    Shock Suggestions for Drop

Part# is 3205. I actually kept going back and forth and end up putting my arnott air shocks back. Might put these for sale.

    cam plates

I recently installed DJM control arms and it came with cam plates, but I installed these since I had them already: ACDelco 45K0177 They assure your camber won't change since they have holes that lock into the pins for camber adjustment. They can be used anytime, whether your truck is drop or not.

Tahoe Drop from Autoride to Non

So here's my result. Not sure if my front shocks were bad, but my before measurements were about an inch or so lower than what most start off at. So not sure by looking at the pictures how much this drop is considered. Also want to go lower another inch in the front. Like the rake look more...

    Shock Suggestions for Drop

Well didn't get any responses, but I ended up purchasing McGaughys rear shocks. Figured the suspension wouldn't be right having mismatched shocks. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk

    Shock Suggestions for Drop

I'm ready to lower my truck but wanted to get some feedback in regards to the shock options/combos. I had purchased McGaughys front drop shocks and have Bilstein/Arnott Autoride rear shocks. My main concern is will having McGaughy front shocks and the Bilstein Autoride rear shocks affect the...

    Dropped my Tahoe

This looks nice. I was leaning in dropping my truck 3.5/5, but think 4/5 would look good as well since I prefer a slight rake also.

How did everyone else deal with the cracked dash?

Seeing that the dash has cracked in a bunch of different places for some people, maybe go the underside reinforcement route and have that piece of mind that it won't happen again. Good luck on this and share your progress.

How did everyone else deal with the cracked dash?

Sounds like a lot of work, but will look as if nothing happen. I think someone had posted this repair on YouTube, but can't seem to find it.

How did everyone else deal with the cracked dash?

I agree, but I guess it's better than nothing. I think it looks a bit better than those carpet covers.

How did everyone else deal with the cracked dash?

I've been looking at this as an option. Every time I look at the dash, I feel like there's a new crack. They have it on eBay for $148 plus $30 for shipping. There's also one where it only cover the top. Just search dash cap or plastic skin cover. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
