    Electrical Bug!!!??!?!

The multifunction switch (Signal/Wiper Stalk) is a known weak point on these trucks. I would lean towards that if you are having wiper issues after replacing the motor. Power drains are tough to diagnose. Check that your dome lights are not staying on. I keep my "overide" button at the light...

    Radio disconnected?

Yes the Orange wire goes to the 10 amp fuse, at the fuse panel. It should be 12vdc, "Hot" at all times.

What did you do to your OBS GMT400 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

I miss driving my Yukon on a daily basis. I love sitting up high, and being able to see further at traffic up ahead on the highway. I can tell the truck is getting vintage, because people have been giving the thumbs up and getting excited. I parked it until Dinosaur gas comes down, or I have an...

Any value to OEM AM/FM cassette unit?

My buddy had a '70 Bronco with 35s, 5.0L 3 on the tree. I loved that truck. I told myself I would order the new Bronco when it came out. Then gas hit $8 a gallon, so I bought a Ford Mustang Mach-E. I still have my 2 door Yukon in the garage.

Any value to OEM AM/FM cassette unit?

I think there is always value in the factory stereo equipment for these trucks. I replaced the backlightng in my CD player unit. And then later bought a refurbished unit when my CD player went out. Ebay and Marketplace is where i searched. Listing it for sale on the forum would be a good idea...

I should really upgrade to stainless braided brake lines. I have been running the oem rubber ones for 26 years.

Guess What? Another 1999 Tahoe AC problem here...

I replaced all the large components in my '97 GT's A/C system, charged it up, took the filler hoses off, and the $20 ball/shrader valve barfed it out. Cheap insurance to change both of these low pressure & high pressure side valves when maintaining the system.

Shined up the '97 GT. Washed and waxed. I pulled it out of the garage for a final wipe down and windows, but the rain started spitting. Hoping the sun peaks out and I will rip to the gas station for some 94 octane.

Likely spot to start tracking under dash wiring problem.

I would start by climbing under the truck, and pull the connector off the actuator, that goes into the front differential. My connector was filled with water, and shorted out the actuator. I replaced the actuator, cleaned the connector, and filled the backshell with DC-4 before plugging it back...

    A/C Issue/OBS experts help needed

Were the arms at the motors broken and disconnected? I had a similar issue as you on my '97 Yukon. It ended up being a broken Blend Door Actuator. I would test run the A/C, and choose different settings, Floor, Mid, etc, and have a look at what your actuator is doing. When mine broke, A/C would...

Check your RPO codes printed inside the glove box, for a Z71 code. Interesting you have a GMC grille, on your '99 Chevy Tahoe?

I think those wheels give it some American Muscle. Definitely suits a 2 Door barn door beauty like that.

Be careful when torquing the screws in the distributor cap. It is very easy to crack the plastic body. How do I know?.....
