Update on this: I changed the starter and starter relay and problem still exists. Every once in a while it cranks odd and starts but like sputtering and you turn the key off it still continues to try to start and sputter. Very odd. Any other suggestions?
Not sure if it's starting system or fuel...
2007 Tahoe LT here. Currently has 155K miles on the odometer. We had a in-person BB tune done about 3 years ago. At that time the DOD/AFM was turned off. We've had no issues thus far *knock on wood*. We did install a catch can when we first got the truck and use Mobil 1 synthetic with every 4-5k...
Update:
The EVAP purge valve (behind alternator) fixed the P0455 code. And for anyone wondering the Dorman 800-032 *IS* a replacement for the retainer on the vacuum line that connects to the EVAP purge valve.
Yes I replaced the one in the rear. I believe it's called the EVAP vent solenoid. It was slightly different than the original. New one had the open vent at the end of the corrugated tubing and the old one had a cap. New one also required a small wire harness converter. Our Tahoe is a LT and...
Hey guys I recently got the P0455 code on 2007 Tahoe and in the process of chasing down an EVAP leak. Purchased a new OEM gas cap, Purge valve solenoid and vent solenoid with hoses and filtered vent.
Questions:
1. The stock vent solenoid had the vent hose routed up near the filler neck and on...
You're right. I'll just replace the starter. Doesn't look too hard. I really only posted to find out if there's a common issue people have experienced with these vehicles like a relay, ignition switch or something really random that would cause the issue I'm having.
Thanks for replying!
Hey guys 99% of the time our 2007 Tahoe starts up just fine, but once in a blue moon either we turn the key and nothing happens or it starts and the starter doesn't disengage after engine is running (engine turns over and starter continues to crank). It's happened 3 times in the 2.5 years we've...
So either delete the physical parts with a VVT delete kit or use the L9H harness and retain VVT. With the proper ECU flash of course.
I think the other factor is the MAP sensor correct? If retaining recipient vehicle harness should I use the 5.3 MAP? Any other sensors that need special...
Came across this. Looks to be a true HID conversion.

This is the one that I use. Spring loaded and adjusts to fit pretty much any oil filter.

Personally, I've always been leary of flushing and our local GM dealer said they don't recommend flushing either. We had them change the filter and fluid and it was only $149. I totally expected it to cost more..
