Mother nature needs to make up her mind. She's like a white girl at Starbucks trying to decide if she wants her grande mocha frappé-slapmeintheface-2-pumps-and-done coffee either hot or cold
Thank you. That's my next step with that plug. Looking back from day 1 of the swap, I remember my buddy saying it started off very slowly once in gear (probably in limp mode), then months later my TC started unlocking and locking randomly, then stopped working altogether. After that, I started...
Fuse 20 keeps blowing every time it's put into gear, so transmission goes into limp mode. I'm thinking there is a short in that pink wire. The transmission guy said they ohmed out all of the solenoids and they were good.
I also pulled up this wiring diagram. Fuse 20 is the one blowing. 2 pink wires (which I have confirmed from looking at back of fuse box), one going to instrument cluster and other going to TCC solenoid? TCC solenoid through what? Am I reading that correctly?

Can someone help explain where the 4 pin NSS wires run to? Looks like they run directly to the PCM. In my 0411PCM swap, I had to run 4 wires from the PCM and tap into the 4 wires at the NSS plug; however I'm tracing a short in one or...
I did the same when I noticed the smallest misfire on Cylinder 4. Replaced everything else, only to find that one of the valve seats in the head was cracked. Did a top end rebuild, engine started knocking after a while, and now here are with a 454, billet 4L80e, and 0411PCM swap lol
I'M BAAAAACK!!!
Sorry for the hiatus ladies and gentlemen. Been a little crazy between getting married, buying a house, and taking over my practice!
The side hoe is finally home after a long overdue billet 4l80e build. Tracing down a wiring issue now that's causing fuse 20 to blow every time...
Thank you for all of the advice! It’s funny, cuz I was just looking at a colder plug and gap it to .045”. Why .020”? I’m only going to be spraying occasionally, since it’s my daily driver. Is 6 BTDC retarding the timing? With the tune on my 0411, I have to run 93 octane, so that should be ok...
Long overdue update!
Been crazy lately between my office being super busy, buying a house, and dealing with a concussion lol, but don’t worry, Hoe is almost finished! A few of the billet parts were backed up due to Covid, but they’re all in now! Only waiting on accumulator block off plate...
