143mph is nuts, I don't believe I've ever reached a speed like that in any road vehicle, driver or passenger. As you can probably tell by my post, I'm fairly reserved and boring when it comes to driving, so even a friendly 0-70 pull is thrilling, lol. I'm sure some of you guys think that's a...
I don't condone street racing, it's dangerous and illegal.
I drive a 2024 RST with the 6.2L, and I don't know if it's the bright Radiant Red paint with blacked-out trim, quad exhaust tips that I keep polished, or my vanity plate, but since I've gotten it, I get challenged at lights by sporty...
I have a 2024 RST 6.2L and want to mod it using GM Performance parts to keep my warranty, and I just feel better about sticking with OEM on a brand new vehicle.
I'm debating between getting the GM Performance exhaust (the GM one, not the GM/Borla version) or getting the GM Performance Brembo...
I pay for OnStar with data at the moment, so my 2024 Tahoe has it's own data plan and all the apps and features should work. I'm logged into my Google account through the Tahoe's screen, but every few days google maps stops showing my saved locations and I don't get the speed limit icon on the...
This got me curious about my 2024 RST with Magnaride so I checked the manual and did not see the same reference to Sport Mode changing Magnaride"to provide better cornering performance". Either they've changed the Sport Mode setting parameters between 2021 and 2024, or just changed what's...
Did you get crank with no start when you got to the gas station? I wonder if you have a bad fuel pump control module (FPCM). That is what stranded me, and since then I've seen many other mentions of it. Fortunately the FPCM is a relatively easy fix, but the situation it puts you in is awful, I...
I bought a 2024 Tahoe 6.2 RST and after digging into RPO codes and calling the Chevy customer line, I found that contrary to reports that came out in 2023 that all 6.2s would get active exhaust for 2024, that ended up not being the case unfortunately.
I do like the stock 6.2 dual-exit quad-tip...
I bought a 2024 4WD RST with sport performance package including the 6.2 in Radiant Red just over two weeks ago. I had been searching local dealer inventory online for quite some time for that exact combination, and when I finally spotted one it was listed a little more than $4K off sticker. I...
Can anyone explain the benefit of bigger and/or upgraded brakes on these trucks? From what I understand, which admittedly is not a lot on this topic, a typical vehicle's stopping power is limited by tire traction not the brakes, i.e. most vehicles can lock up the brakes (or go into anti-lock) at...
Bump because I have the same issues. AC runs nice and cold, but sometimes it randomly blows warm air for about 30 seconds, then starts blowing cold air again.
I hadn't heard anything about it beforehand, everyone's attention online seemed fixated on the lifters or the 6.2's crank bearings. But when it happened to me and after a quick web search, now I'm seeing all kinds of forum complaints and YT videos about the fuel pump control module in GM...
Did the vehicle have crank with no start? My fuel pump control module went out while driving on the freeway, came out of nowhere with no warning. When I tried to restart the truck on the side of the road, it'd crank like normal and sounded like the motor was turning via the starter just fine...
Do you think it's related to keeping the key in the vehicle? I recently bought my first Tahoe with a keyless fob and I park in my garage, so until recently I kept my key in the vehicle too. With this vehicle I notice that if I'm doing something, like cleaning the windows or spray detailing...
It's only been a few days, but I haven't seen the check engine light flash again. Dealership said if it happens again to bring it in, and that it could have been related to the truck learning the new fuel pump. The truck is now at 415 miles on the odometer, so fingers crossed that early hiccup...
As I mentioned in my update, the fuel pump module was replaced and the truck is running, but I did get a flashing check engine light yesterday. So much to go wrong on a vehicle that hasn't even hit 400 miles yet.
They are mechanically very similar and both built in the same assembly plant in Arlington, Texas, so overall assembly and drivetrain quality between Tahoe and Yukon will be similar. Maintenance and dependability is also similar for that reason too, but higher trims have more things to maintain...
Bought a 2024 Tahoe RST with sport performance package just last week. At only 320 miles on the odometer it died at the intersection of a service road and busy thoroughfare causing quite the backup. The dash told me to restart, but it mostly just cranked and made a slight effort to turn over...
I was waiting for the 2025s, but last week while doing my weekly online browsing of local dealer inventory I found the exact configuration I'd originally wanted back when I started looking for a new Tahoe last year, color and all. It was discounted over $4K and then I negotiated free tint and...
I appreciate the feedback from everyone. It appears there is not a consensus on running auto full time being OK or not, but I'm looking forward to the first time it rains since picking this truck up so I actually get to feel auto4wd doing it's thing.
I have a few other tangential questions I...
I just picked up a 2024 RST with 6.2L and 4wd. This is actually my 3rd Tahoe, I've exclusively owned Tahoes for 17 years now, so I've had one from each of the last three generations. I absolutely love these vehicles. This is my first 4wd vehicle though, my prior were all 2wd and I know very...
I would like to piggyback on this thread because I had a similar question and don't think there's a need start a new topic about it.
I have a 2019 Tahoe with 36K miles, no mechanical problems so far. I've been considering upgrading to a 2023 and going with a fully-loaded High County trim...
I have owned Tahoes for 15 years, and 3-4 years is about the average time a battery lasts for me. I live in a hot climate and do a lot of start-stop city driving though.
