Wow, you guys are really kind of wrong.
That’s ok, I know that if I try to correct anyone on the differences, I’ll hurt some feelings, so I won’t. It seems that so many are upset with my post as it is.
To everyone who is butt hurt over my post: find a safe place, work on your feelings, and...
Who said I was complaining? I stared a fact. This thread went without a post for a week. You seem to be the one stirring the pot a bit. If I wanted to participate I. Other treads, I would. I know they exist. They don’t interest me. I always hope for new threads HERE, however this wasn’t...
This is the only area that I have interest in because it’s the vehicle I own. There is very little activity here. Thanks for the speech though...I’m aware of the other areas, they have no value for me at this time.
Getting the buttons to work is apparently extremely difficult. Only specific clusters will work with specific truck models and there is more than a wire that needs to be added. It sounds worse than installing the io6 upgrade I did.
I can’t seem to get the outer chrome bracket off. I can’t see what kind of screws it’s using. I looked up install kits to see if it lists the hardware, no luck. Anyone know what kind/size of screw is used to hold that outer chrome bracket on????
Mine was a good price. I paid $13999 for my 2015. It has 150k on it, but around here a 2015 Tahoe with 110k was $25k. Sure it has shiny rims and leather seats, but do you know what I can do with 11k?? I bought a center console, leather wheel, 8” screen w/car play, led bulbs, CAI, new shocks...
The reason I ask is due to my factory nav not working. I installed the 8” screen with factory bav, car play, but I can’t get any satellites. The only thing I can think of this being is the wiring I had to do to the onstar module. One option of wiring was if you had 4g, the other was was...
I’m being told that this has to be programmed BEFORE installation. I’m told the dealership can’t do it. I’m told that I need to know the version of the io6 HMI and radio I installed so I know cluster time get?
what the hell is the deal? I wish people with no knowledge, or guess at the...
Unless you’re a cop, that could be very illegal. Not sure if that would be covered under concealed carry, but it wouldn’t take much For someone to slide that screen up and take the gun. I wouldn’t trust valet mode to make it safe either
It’s just the normal 8” screen that normal Tahoe’s would have. I just love the secret compartment. I have some future plans for it. In the compartment I’m going to mount a 7” fold down screen and hook it up to my thermal camera. Assuming 7” will fit.
I’d love to get an armored suburban. 4 mpg, can’t get it serviced in some garages due to weight, but driving down the street of a bad neighborhood with gang members everywhere...with my middle finger extended...priceless!
In the most basic definition, yes. However knowing where to plug certain things can be difficult, and there are 3-4 wires that need to be soldered into the BCM.
I thought it would be easier, but going through the process, I’m glad I had the videos and assistance from the guys I got it from...
