    You are correct, the cargo light is latched. i used one when i added rear foglights in my old z71 roof rack. i used a meter to find the two wires that showed continuity and voila. i just ran ground through it to trigger a relay, didnt trust 12v going through it.

    looks like they cut the bar that was between the radio and the climate. the radio now sits flat on the climate control and they filled in beside the radio. it almost looks like they lifted the climate as well.

    If the Tahoe is a 99-02 then it doesn't need all those fancy interfaces. It does however need a 1.5 to 2 din conversion kit. You can either get parts from an 03-06 or metra has a full dash bezel replacement that is tons easier. That's what I used in my 2000 Silverado
