You misunderstood. I can now see why. My best friend sees 1000s of cars a year and unlike most mechanics that give you the "I've never seen that before" he straight up tells me is there's any report in the TSBs, if there anything like this popping up on their tech talk engineers private forum...

    2017 Yukon XL Denali

Im selling my 22s if anyone is interested. They are in mint condition from my 2016 Yukon Denali XL. The wheels are mint and the tires have about 4,000 miles on them. Sale INCLUDES all 4 wheels, tires, center caps, and the tire pressure monitoring sensors and a set of GM OEM wheel locks. They...

What is the chance that GM would fix the vibration/buffeting issue in 2017 models?

Any buffeting at 40 and 70 mph. Or booming at low speeds?

What is the chance that GM would fix the vibration/buffeting issue in 2017 models?

Went to my dealer yesterday to discuss my repurchase/exchange. Drove a 2017. With 20s instead of 22s, and no vibration at all. Buffeting and booming still there. Actually worse than my 2016. Although my 2016 wheels have been RFB to 15lbs or below. So I guess even if the 2017 with 20s...

    2017 Yukon XL Denali

Don't get me wrong. The 22s look fantastic. But if going to 20s fixes the vibration and buffeting, then 20s it is.

Could you please post a picture of the side of the vehicle. Similar to your original picture, but that one at an angle. Just looking at a complete side view shot with the Denlai 20" rims.

    2017 Yukon XL Denali

Gm went with blue for one reason and one reason only. Money. It is cheaper for them to purchase 1000 blue units vs 500/500 of red/blue. And since Chevy out sells GMC, blue got the win. That's it.

    2017 Yukon XL Denali

So just checking in to see since its been about a month. Still no vibrations from 70-80? Still no low speed booming over rough roads? Still no buffeting at 69-72 on the Highway? Just want to make sure since many of us bought 2016s without the issues and they developed over time. My dealer...

Anyone with a 2016 post a picture to compare. My Yukon is at the dealership indefinitely, so I'm not able to do it.

There's discuss on the other forum that dealers are saying GM changed the body mounts on the 2017 for softer mounts. And from the looks of it, I believe his 2017 has 20 inch wheels which should greatly improve his ride quality over the 22's.

@DennisT I just sent you a private message. If you could help with that, it would be huge for my dealership.

Bought a new Denali and now I'm having buyers remorse

When a dealer calls GM tech line for an repairable vibration, the he first thing they ask is, are they Bridgestones on the 22 inch rims. The problem is definitely both. They best you can do is push for the 20" and negotiate Michelin Premiers. You be set. Good full rik size on a LT soft tire.

What is the chance that GM would fix the vibration/buffeting issue in 2017 models?

Does it have 22s? Drive slowly around rough gravel roads just broken up roads or road with joints. Drive slowly 20 -40 you hear booming like a speaker with bass in the cabin at every bump? That's booming. Take it for a drive fror a drive on the highway. Turn off the radio turn down the A/C, if...

You have 6.2, correct? Did you have the boom prior to the new Michelin's? What's your build date? (On the sticker at the bottom right corner of the the drivers side door jamb)

What is the chance that GM would fix the vibration/buffeting issue in 2017 models?

Is the booming at low speeds when you hit every imperfection in the road pretty consistent on every Yukon/Suburban? At least those with 22s? I had a 2015 Suburban loaner while the Yukons tires were being balanced 17 times. And that booming hitting bumps at low speed from 0-40 mph?

Thanks, the dealer is working with GM now to get this authorized. Which Michelin's did you go with, the Premier or the Defender? Does your 16 experience and low speed booming when you hit bumps and on rough roads at low speeds?

Bought a new Denali and now I'm having buyers remorse

What dealership do you frequent? Reason being is that my 2016 Denali has had all 4 Bridgestones replaced and road force balance 4 time and the vibration atill persists. It's better than it was, but there's still an annoying amount of vinration that just feels like a crappy set of 22" wheels...

I miss spoke. We've been driving our new 2016 Yukon Denali XL for a while now. At 1000 miles, I now hear booming. Like a low subwoofer bass. It's prominent at 41 mph and 71 mph, although I hear it at all speeds when I hit bumps. The rougher the road the more noticeable. Just sounds...
